Habitat: In and beside dead wood, no sure the exact type of wood. Some are growing out of the wood, I think those may be a different species. I'm new to this so not sure. SE United states.
Gills: White/yellow/tan/dark, attached, gills (white seems to be large space between fins).
Stem: 3", .5"-1", white, texture, stems on the thicker side.
Cap: ~3" wide, White/tan/almost pink, smooth, conical (comes to subtle point at top, convex
Spore print color: I'm new, still learning please work with me. Once it stops raining I'll try a spore print.
Bruising: Turning dark where I cut it, not exactly blue, but darkening.
Other information: There are bugs that seem to be eating it. Not sure if it's relevant but thought I'd mention.

Nah, not golden teachers, these are bronze tutors. Anyway, those pictures are terrible for identification, but it's maybe some kimd of Pluteus.

I'll post more when they dry out. It's raining pretty heavy. Can you please let me know what you're looking for in the pictures? I'll take new ones that are better.
I looked up Pluteus genus and it looks almost identical, and the location where it's growing matches up. I'm impressed, and excited that it may be psychoactive. I should note that the stem isn't blue yet.
If anybody thinks they may be poisonous please let me know. They're growing where my dog can get to them. I want to let them be if they're safe. Psychoactive is just a bonus for me. I mainly want to make sure my dog is safe.

From growing out of wood it would more likely be Gymnopilus than cubensis. If it is cubensis it needs a certain enriched soil and I notice there is a scaley (scale-like) pattern than is visible on the stem which is white but can then blue easily. Cubes with have a glowing textured appearance in the cap hince the name Golden Teachers

I went back out today and got some better pictures. First post mentioned mine weren’t that great so i figured I’d try again. To me it looks too similar to destroying angle so I want to be sure before I do anything with it. I also included an object for size. The dimensions of the disk are printed on the label.
I did some research on my own based off the feedback given. Imma newbie but based off Pluteus, the closest to my eye is Pluteus americanus?
Note, this time it has a smell, almost a metallic type smell if that helps. Still no blue spots found, I’m used to looking for blue spots in the stem.

Golden Teachers? Like the cubenis strain? Or an Angel of Death? Those species look very different from each othee and the habitat is totally wrong for cubenis. I recommend studying various species of mushrooms so u can improve your IDing skills and narrow down your mushroom search.

Fun fact - Box turtles can eat death caps without issue, but people can still be poisoned if they hunted and ate a turtle that recently ate a death cap.
