Fruiting Advice

Well, I've successfully cultivated cubes before, but had subsequent failures (apparently due to non-viable spores)
A month ago I acquired some prints(Brazil strain) and couldn't help trying even in winter, so on 15th Dec I nocced 5 grain jars and 3 brf
A week after I was the happiest on earth seeing mycelium spots showing(my prev failures were that no colonization at all) so kept monitoring
Apparently my sterilization technique is fine but the environment is shitty, I lost 3 grain jars but the brf's are doing great and the remain 2grain jars are progressing
The Brf's are almost 100% colonized, so I believe in 10days I will put into fruiting, my questions:-
-I managed to maintain the temp bet 22-18C during colonization by putting a heater near the closest, my indoor temp this time of year around 18/10C(day/night) will it fruit under these conditions? I've bought a temp controller along with thermal wire so I can make a controlled environment around my sgfc but how can that be done with the need of air ventilation(I have a fan fixed into my sfgc BTW)
-given the polluted environment I live in : is the dunking in cold water over a night is needed(the grains seem to be shrunk/dehydrated, so the cakes too might be in need of moist compensation) what do you think, I am afraid of over-exposure to contams

1) If you have a proper fruiting chamber, you shouldn't worry about the environment in your grow area, the fruiting chamber creates its own micro-climate.
I suggest: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25339094/fpart/1/vc/1
Very easy to make, you just need a container and coir.
2) Dunking is necessary to replenish water, mycelium likes to be hydrated. Why are you unable to dunk? Is there no way to get clean water where you are at?
3) Obviously dunking cakes in sludge filled with bacteria and mold is bad. But cakes are pretty contam resistant once they are fully colonized. Tap water works fine unless you are in a place where your tap water has dangerous levels of lead, bacteria, mold etc. If that is the case, are you able to buy a gallon of water from the store?

Thank you for your reply We have a good tap water(drinkable), it's just my expirement with the colonization space that i bleached all walls, misted alcohol in air and almost air still, and yet caught contams in grain jars with 4x1mm holes on top
anyway: i will count on the fully colonized cake immunity and take your advice for dunking
while for fruiting: I've a very decent fruiting chamber with both holes on all side for natural vent plus a fan for forced vent,my concern is about ambient temperature (goes as low as 12-10C at night), will it fruit in such conditions if heating is needed how to compromise temp isolation and fresh air exchg needed for fruiting

If you were using the entire room as a "still air box" that could have caused your contam issues (or if you went MS to grains, that could be the issue as well). Honestly people go too crazy about over-cleaning their grow area (I did when I first started). You realize that isn't necessary after a while. Keep the room clean as usual, do all work in a still-air box, no need to power wash your walls with bleach, alcohol and the like.
This is the tek for a SAB

It is literally just a clear tote with arm holes. This has always worked for me and my space isn't exactly spotless (I'm not the best a cleaning yet to have a contam issue that wasn't due to the syringe).

I'm not sure exactly what your fruiting chamber is. Unless you have had had many successful grows and are building your own fruiting chamber through experimentation and such, I'd advise against making custom rigs. Most people don't use a fan because it drys out the cakes. A properly built fruiting chamber will not need any additional FAE and you won't have to worry about your outside temps.
I highly suggest the Humidity Chamber for fruiting in environments that are very cold. SGFC might have some issues (which I noticed myself) but the humidity chamber seems to be very versatile since it is unmodified.
If you choose the Humidity Chamber, you simply keep the lid on when its coldest and when it warm in your space, you crack the lid for some FAE.
If you are doing BRF cakes and follow the PF Tek 2.0 exactly, you shouldn't have a problem. The issues come when people who aren't experienced stray from the proven methods and do their own thing.
