Is it odd that sativa makes it easier for me to fall asleep?

I find sativa far more enjoyable than indica, particularly because with the former, you can either sleep or explore an adventurous high.
I find it easier to sleep when I smoke sativa than if I smoke no weed at all (although it is easiest with indica). Is this abnormal? Online I see only people saying sativa makes them energetic

Nah, energetic is a relative term. I don't really like indicas because they just knock me the fuck out. It's not really fun for me. But I think for most people sativas will eventually knock them out. Also its really hard to pin down sativa vs. indica anymore. They have been cross bread like a mutt at the pound, I don't believe pure versions are very common anymore.

THC chemically seduces the brain into a deep sleep state, sadly prolonged use of THC you will miss out on a lot of REM as it doesn't allow the natural progression and cycle to fall into it. It's easier for me to fall asleep naturally than have a chemical do it

Saliva takes so much longer to flower, and produces much lower harvests, and the buzz is mainly mental. I do prefer it with some indica bred in, the grass then lasts longer.
But you’ll sleep off any cannabis if you smoke enough.

I'm curious if it was a specific sativa strain that you're talking about?..Or are you just talking about "sativas" in general?
I certainly do find there to be different qualities between some varieties of cannabis, I do find some to be mentally stimulating and others to be more relaxing/sedating (as well as lots of other nuances and differences)....
...but I do not find that something merely labeled as "sativa" is always going to be uplifting/cerebral/energetic. Basically what I'm trying to say is, IME, those sorts of differences don't always line up with something that is "sativa' or "indica".
There are definitely some strains of cannabis that has a distinct uplifting/energetic vibe for me, but just because something is labeled "sativa" doesn't mean it's going to have that quality to it.
True cerebral/uplifting/psychedelic/energetic sativas are not common these days....It's been a while since I've had a strain that had that true sativa "pep" to it (I'm going to try to grow some this summer though).
I always smoke right before I go to sleep....A while back I had the common "sativa" strain "green crack", and that particular herb I had of that strain was very mentally stimulating. When I'd smoke it before bed I'd just lay there with my mind remaining very active and lots of thoughts running through my mind, it'd keep me up thinking about things for a while. It was a terrific day time smoke, it had no sedation to it at all and was very clear headed and uplifting, but before bed it'd keep my mind active for a while.

Perhaps u have ADHD
Sativas are always stimulating to me, like a cup of coffee. But Indicas are stimulating as well, but not as much. I think its the THC that wakes me up.

I definitely do. Is it actually a thing that sativas don’t energize ADHDs?

Well, the common thing is stimulants make people with ADHD calm down. So the logic is perhaps it works the same for the stimulating cannabinoids in Satvia strains

People don’t react the same to weed imo. There are generalities of course but effect is certainly in part your bodies chemistry reacting to the thc(and terpenes and other less understood cannabinoids). I always ask friends what they like and dislike about my favorite strains highs. Many times I get a variety of responses, some of my favorites others think doesn’t do much for them. In the end, how it effects you is really the key. There aren’t any definitive responses it’s more a range of effect.
