Shiitake Browning or Bad Fungi - Keep or Toss?

My Shittake bags all look similar to the attached images. It this browning, or contams?
If healthy, is the recommendation to give them a couple light bumps and make 1/4" slits, or cut the top off?
Substrate: hwfp, wheat bran, PC 2.5 hrs. Inoculated with rye.
Thank you!

pics will not enlarge so hard to see but they look fine to me. keep them imo. Don't bump them, just leave them, they need to go chocolate brown before you fruit them. FYI you take shiitake out the bag to fruit them.

None of my pics are enlarging today either for some reason, so I can't see them close, but Shiitake looks gnarly when browning, so they're probably fine.
Like mentioned you usually strip the whole bag when ready to fruit, although I prefer to wait for mine to pin invitro. I find a temp drop is the best way to force them to pin once it's been at least 3 months and they're fully browned. In fact you wanna be careful not to let the temps drop too much if you're not ready to fruit them, some strains are sensitive to it and will start pinning before you want them to if you're not careful.

This is very helfpul, thank you. They're only 6 weeks old, so 3 months huh, alright then. I'll do some more research (over the next two months lol) and try some invitro as well.
Yeah, noticed pics yesterday not enlarging on some post, but they did on others. These are definitely high resolution, or they were coming in.
Cheers!
