Tub colonization lighting?
    #26429670 - 01/12/20 01:22 PM (4 years, 17 days ago)

I have to mini monos and 2 trays colonizing on a shelf in the closet. Tubs are lined trays arent. Would I be better off leaving the closet light on or off for colonization?

Light exposure is actually beneficial to all stages of myc growth. The dark vs light thing might still be argumentative. I believe this was an assumption.
The reason people weren't keeping myc exposed to light was to prevent premature pinning in jars. It was proven that the light does not induce pinning directly, however it is more dependent on fae. You can expose light to all sides the sub with a transparent liner and only receive pins on top.
Might be a better idea to begin exposing it to a 12/12 light cycle if possible. LEDs are cheap cheap. Skip a meal and collect your reward. You're going to want I think 6500k lighting as far as spectrum goes. You could replace the bulb or get an alt. Set up

I wouldn’t worry about it until fruiting.

Myc wont be dependent on light during colonization stages, it just helps
