Making substrate at higher altitude, dry climate

Should I be using more water for substrate considering I am in a dry climate and higher altitude? I am currently using 3.5 qt water per tub, 650g coir, 2qt Verm.
Is there anything else I should do to adjust to the climate? Casing?

Casing layers help retain moisture I think youd wanna decrease fae some but not a lot. Some people completely open up there holes for max fae when fruiting in avg climates. Just pay attention to field capacity cause it can vary by the run, until you get enough experience and form habits. I'd stick to the 3.25 if you're doing damion5050s bucket tek because even that is a little too wet for me. You can always add more it's more of a pain that it should be to dial back moisture content if your original field capacity ends up being way to high.
If you decide to go with the 3.5 keep dry verm on hand in case its way above field capacity and add as needed. If it's more like a stream opposed to a few dribbles go ahead and toss a quart in there. Then slowly add to avoid over doing it
Disclaimer I'm only on my second successful grow that I can reflect from.( 16 tubs under my belt ) definitely not the most experienced so someone may tell you otherwise. Hopefully you get advice from a trusted cultivator to verify or clarify any information I've given

Room Temp Is 70-75. The humidity I cant seem to get it to hold over 35% during the winter.

You might just need to mist more during fruiting.
Keep initial ratios the same tho

Thats exactly what I was thinking.. I did not mist enough during fruiting, and need to use a little bit more water in substrate prep.
I was doing 3.5 qt H20 per 650g coir , 2qt verm. I am now going to try 4 qts per tub.

Its all about getting to the field capacity. Wet where it takes squeezing it to make it drip.

I’m in a super dry climate as well, and getting sub prep dialed in was 90% of it for me. I was constantly misting and having stuff dry out. Then I prepped some coir slightly wetter than I had been, along with using a top layer at spawn and all my problems were solved. Since I figure this out I haven’t had to mist at all before the first flush using shoeboxes and my yield went up like 30%.

Yep definitely noticed it was dry in the tubs before they pinned. I had to mist repeatedly during colonization. Its also much more dry here during the winter. As soon as the cold hit, my yields were affected quite a bit.
How many Quarts of H20 do you use per tub? I was at 3.5 , now going to do 4.25 qts H20. Tubs are 650g Coir with 2 qt verm.

Honestly I have no idea, I make my coir too wet and then squeeze out each handful as I go so I can alter the water content for each one.
I usually make it what I would call VERY slightly above field cap. I think using a top layer of coir makes as much difference for me as the initial prep. 15% rh I had constantly dry surfaces when they were just fluffy myc. Always got matted up.

I tried using the Top layer of coir on my APE tub, applied right after mixing grain and coco. It seems to have worked nicely. Pin set is pretty much 95% coverage of the tub right now. for APE that is hard to get.
I also used more Water in the substrate.
