Anyone use psilocybin for medical/healing purposes?

First off I would like to thank this awesome community of supportive people. Give yourself a pat on the back!
Tonight is the first time I have done this beautiful fungus in years. I mentally prepared myself for days for this healing experience. I have came to love myself again and except who I am. Once I close my eyes and wake again I truly am a new man.
I just recently have stopped drinking and also have delt with a list of addictions I truly believe that psilocybin has helped open my mind from the clouded confusion. This is the first time I have ever done this by myself and it was the best experience I have had with mushrooms. I faced my demons and took all this regret and self hate and washed it away and wow I truly love myself.
I would love to hear if anyone uses this for healing purposes and how and why they do.
Also I'm really interested in a spiritual guided trip. has anyone ever tried that and how was it? Any good places to go that are affordable?
Thanks all much love

Big love, my friend.
The line between recreational and medicinal is fuzzy. For myself I kind of see them as two sides of the same coin, on the one hand psychedelics are just good fun, but they also have a much deeper aspect that can be extremely healing and transformative. So I'd say most folks that use psychedelics with any regularity come to understand that it goes deeper than just the pretty colors. Psychedelics increase open-mindedness, self acceptance, empathy for others, creativity, and novel thought patterns. The world would be a better place if more people tripped now and then, IMHO.
Cheers

I 100% agree digit. I think it's crazy that many ancient civilizations used these and then Western influence turned it into a type of vodo thinking it was bad. We all should socially except this in our lives once again

Well done on stopping drinking kd87. It's a hard thing to get your head around, to arrive at the point where you don't want to drink and take addictive drugs is an accomplishment. (compared to just wanting to avoid the negative consequences of them)
Mushrooms are an integral part of keeping me sane. Without them I experience depression that builds to intolerable levels. I don't know if this is because I used to be an alcoholic/addict and have poor coping mechanisms, or I always had poor coping mechanisms which lead me to drugs/alcohol and shrooms are just medication against getting bogged down. I suspect the latter if I'm honest with myself, either way the outcome is the same. I rarely do doses that make me trip heavy anymore, just enough to push me into the purge state. An hour of unpleasantness followed by a couple of hours of bliss followed by a month of relief.
Spirituality and stuff doesn't come into it for me. No hocus pocus. Just simple and effective antidepressant treatment. I used to look deep into the soup to try and get answers, but I found the answers are already inside me. I don't need shrooms for that.
Have a great new week.
