Weak fruits , few questions (pics)

I have some small weak fruits, b I have read that lines on the stems indicate over saturated sub, is that the case here ? I’ve got a pasty white style dialed mono tub and a unmodified tub as well, both giving small fruits. They are multispore grain to grain transfers so maybe they are just all bacterial now that I have fruits im trying to clone. Side question I’ve done a mono tub a long time ago I noticed the caps came to a Point and were much much bigger 10-20g wet fruits (golden teacher) while these are just flat, is that an indicator of anything? Is that a variety trait?

Your substrate depth is pretty shallow. Shooting for 2.5-4 inches. They might not have enough water. But if you over saturated the sub, it will still make small shrooms. Genetics plays a factor as well. Hard to pinpoint the problem exactly until you see the same genetics grown in different situations.

Ah so more depth may help? I think it’s too wet rather than not enough

Dont know the answer Buuuut I'm curious Did you add that casing layer after spawning/colonization? Why do you say you think it's too wet? Does the surface seem spongy? Does it have pooling? Is there any myc visible closer to the surface? Does it look matted? How were you misting the tub? Did you keep your distance? That pin set looked absolutely amazing sorry to hear it. I'm an amateur myself, been doing a fair amount of lurking while I'm at work.

Are they fruiting on the bottom on the tub (look underneath)?
Yep the pointy cap is a genetic trait.

The lines on the stem don't indicate anything. You have a really dense pinset in pic #2 and sometimes when there is more, they grow smaller. 2nd flush will likely have less but be bigger.

They come from water droplets being absorbed by the stipe.

Wouldn't they be spots and not stripes then? It isn't a bad thing is it?

The one with the decent pin set has no casing the others casing I added at the time of spawn I think it’s too wet because the stipes have dark lines which is it absorbing water as it grows, yes I mist from a distance depending if it is needed, the better pasty white style tub I harvested just now 350gwet and left the immature mushrooms maybe only 70-90gs wet, which is pretty low in weight considering some people pull 300 on first flush of a shoe box.
I get tons of side pins and some bottoms pins , I thought I had read enough online to keep this issue down but I’m wrong and will use a liner going forwards.

It’s not bad but does mean things are a bit wet or have been misted hard. It appears as spots on the caps, but the up and down orientation of the mycelium in the stipes causes the droplet to flow vertically along the stipe once absorbed.
