Can't tell if this post is serious cause it makes no sense to me. Clearly the people behind that want it to be shared with others.

So Iran killed 63 canadians. I wonder what we are gonna do about it :shrug2:

I know I'm changing the subject a little here, but given our level of military superiority, we have an incredible number of casualties from friendly fire; like nearly every one in the first gulf war when the other side didn't really fight back. Or ask Pat Tillman's family.

Friendly fire has been around since warfare showed up.

Stupid people enlisting to go to war has, too.  The only reason we have a military at all is because there is no shortage of young, stupid people who have nothing else going on after high school.

Pat Tillman was a professional football player when he enlisted, so he didn't "have nothing going on". He also opposed the war and Bush, and was planning on meeting with Noam Chomsky before he was murdered.

If only we were all driven enough to get law degrees and use them to give advice to a bunch of anons on a drug website.

The fact that he had other options just illustrates how stupid he really was.

The Army just announced they exceeded recruitment goals by highlighting the student debt crisis.

If we elect Sanders and everyone gets healthcare and education, would we really see people lining up to join the military? Doubt it.

It’s kinda funny how we have been fighting  for Iraq to have a democracy for 17 years and now that they have overwhelmingly voted in favor of kicking us out we want to sanction them . Seems like it  would be a good time for a mission accomplished party on an aircraft carrier as it sailed back home with all of our troops .

Yeah it’s almost like the reason we invaded in the first place had nothing to do with democracy.

Well then that makes it okay. Extrajudicially assassinating foreign leaders to maintain a senate majority isn’t in the Geneva conventions.

There needs to be a battlefield, as well.

Really interesting thread by a company called bellingcat. Real time open source discussion and investigation of the photographic evidence available on the Tehran crash. I love this stuff.

Ah yes, Bellingcat.  The company that got caught...

- make believing Anatoliy Chepiga was a Hero of Russia
- make believing the OPCW scandal wasn't real
- make believing that The Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees is an "an Assad lobbying group"

They were already called out by Robert Parry and Craig Murray as being a highly questionable source.

It makes perfect sense that our king of make believe would love a company so dedicated to make believe.

But I often argue we should look at the data itself, not the source of the data.  Did Bellingcat find any interesting data?  The link you provided has people saying how "incredibly frustrating" these photos are as they don't prove anything.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

For Viet Nam there was a deliberate strategy to draft them at 18 and induct them at 19. They knew older people wouldn't listen to orders to just go out there and die in a senseless war. But since 9-11 there seems to be no shortage of volunteers. They sold that one real good.
