His plan was to rebrand and repackage ACA, and he succeeded. Just google “trumpcare” if you think he didn’t.
Did he do anything to it other than just weaken it?
If the plan was to have no plan that's not the plan people wanted. People wanted a plan.

He didn't. That is exactly why health care propelled the loss of the House in the midterms and is one of the Dems most important and popular talking points in this election. Polling shows national suport for single payer, because Obama's incremental improvements were slashed. If socialism comes in medicine it will be because of Trump as much as Sanders are any other Dem.

Trump created tensions for no reason except he didn’t like the deal because Obama. He cancelled the deal and then had zero strategy to negotiate something else.
Trump did not violate or cancel the agreement but only refused to re-certify it. Obama pushed JCPOA through the backdoor, it was never ratified by the Senate and had a status of a low-level temporary agreement which required President's re-certification every three months. Trump believed the agreement was bad and decided not to re-certify it - there was nothing to violate or cancel. To be fair I do not know enough about it to form an informed opinion but people in the know are split on the merits of JCPOA. The fact it never had numbers in the Senate is telling me it was not a clear-cut winner.

This whole presidency could have gone so different if the Democrats knew how to play up to his narcissism a little better.
They could literally get anything they wanted passed.
Want free college for everyone? Call it the TrumpCollegeFund Bill.
Single payer free healthcare? TrumpsMedicalMiracle Bill.
I'm sure Nancy Pelosi knows exactly how to deal with people like him but oh no everyone had to go full retard with the ridiculous accusations and impeachments.
We might not ever have another president that it is as easily manipulated and they've wasted the whole opportunity.

At what cost?
Playing into such a plan would be a concession that cost far more than the momentary success is worth.

You need to convince me that it wasn't a pathetic failure. Or, I completely missed your sarcasm. I'm a little drunk.

Hell, iirc Brian is in the chicago area and is an hour behind those of us on the right coast so it's even earlier where he is. Still drunk from last night? Inquiring minds want to know.

I believe that Trumps lack of comprehensive proposal for the health system is a massive failure. He spent so much energy ramming through an outright election promise - the Wall - that other internal issues are neglected. Of course nothing bipartisan will ever be agreed on healthcare but still lack of vision from T is disappointing.

At my hangout, I am known as Late Nite "Brian", because I always arrive at midnight. The bar is supposed to close at 2 but the Thursday night bartender is a nurse friend of mine, and we hang out after close, and she starts drinking and I continue drinking, then I drive her home. I have a 45 minute drive home because I no longer live near my friends. This necessitates starting to drink late, and we usually stay after close, so at that point the police are no longer looking for drunk drivers. Then I had 5 more beers while binge watching Weeds, and ate dinner.
I do everything late. My work schedule is 7pm to 5:30am Sunday-Wednesday, and that's the best work schedule I ever had. I have abandoned white collar work that used my education because I'm a zombie on first shift. Even regular 2nd shift is too early for me.

Didn't you used to teach in college, or am I confusing you with someone else?

Yes. I taught from 85 to 90. Grad school was easy because we took 3 classes and they were one day a week for 3 hours in the afternoon. One year The professor I was teaching stats for said we got screwed with an 8am MWF and she didn't like this any better than I did. Instead of splitting the class into smaller discussion sections that I would teach, she said she would do Monday and Wednesday and I would do Friday. This was perfect because I had no Friday classes. So I stayed up all night, taught for an hour, then slept all day before my Friday night poker game.
Undergrad was much harder taking 5 classes with many of them in the morning. I ended up taking astronomy 4 times before I showed up often enough to get a B, and fulfill part of my hard science requirement. When possible I always picked my classes for how late they were scheduled.

I taught in Grad School too. Was a great time!
I used to live your preferred schedule. I would work in my shop from 10pm to 6am, then go to bed. Having a kid ruined that. Now I work 8-5 like a fool.

Yes it was a great time. I never wanted kids because it would have forced me to grow up.

2.1 million jobs in 2019, the fewest amount since 2011
The “jobs” president consistently performs worse than the guy he’s always comparing himself to

Trump after Trump. Donald Trump Jr and Ivanka are riding high for 2024. Especially DTJ. Maybe his sister will be for 2032. That could take America all the way to 2040 with Trumps in the Oval Office.
President Donald Trump Jr.
The initials, DTJ, rhyme with JFK. Since the current president is just like Abraham Lincoln, maybe the next one could be just like Kennedy.
Only stupid people don't like Abraham Lincoln and JFK. What's your problem?
Donald Trump Jr and Ivanka Trump are among Republican voters’ top picks for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024, according to a new poll.
Barron won't be quite old enough by 2040 but there is still Eric Trump to fill in until he is.

God damn Eric and Don are homely looking. Eric has one of those faces that you don’t want to see while eating because it ruins your appetite.
