New to bags need some semi newby help

Hey guys. Been growing in jars for awhile. Trying to start in bags now and having a bunch of trouble. One of the problems in contamination. Another is sealing my bags. Whats the best way and can I seal it pre autoclave?
1. Ive been getting this weird creamsicle orange color. Either the mycelium is turning that color or its growing just like it along side of the mycelium. In the same growth lines.

2. My pre sealed bags were popping a bunch so i just started taping them down loosely to one side tyvek patch down. How is everyone doing this for best practice for no contamination. Im loosing 2/3 of my batches and it sucks. Haha

I get the same contaminant as well, it’s a harder one to spot I think but I never get it this bad though. What do you use to inoculate your bags? When I make bags I pre seal them and then cut a tiny vent hole in the very corner and then fold a piece of foil over the hole and put a paper clip over it. Them when you pull it out of the pressure cooker, seal the corner and your good to go, . Tip: the vent hole should only be a tiny slit on one side of the corner, and when loading the bags, position them with vent closest to the top.

What...
Post info about your grain prep especially pics.
How long are you cooking them, more info = better response.

My bags sit for a week before use. They are getting messed up sometime after inoculation. Cooks for an hr 255-260°. Room is now at 76/78° but was higher before. Just fixed it.

Ok ill give that a shot and see how it goes. Im using a liquid culture i grew (honey and water) or starting a bit of g2g that im growing in 1/4 filled jars to see if my liquids are contaminated.

Bags need pressure cooking for 3 hours imo before you go adding extra steps. My temps are low to mid 70s.
Pics of plates are good if you want feedback too. For a good seal you want a 5mm sealer with the air squeezed from the bag.
What is your grain? One pic looks like brf?

It was in that bag.
16 cups vermiculite 8 cups brf 8 cups water 2 tablespoon gypsum
Seemed to have way to much moisture. But i got it in pure popcorn bags also. Ive switched up my recipe now to
8 cups popcorn boiled and let to drip dry 8 cups vermiculite 4 cups brf 2 cups water Handful of perlite 2 tablespoons gypsum 2 tablespoons honey Handful or coffee if i have organic grounds
Hoping this locks in a sweet spot. Been trying the different stuff on their own. Decided to mix it up.
I have a 41q autoclave. Doesn't go to those temps.

This might be hard to hear but ditch all that and try some grain prep. I highly suggest wild bird seed over popcorn, search foomans wbs tek. load the bags a little on the drier side and try pcing for 3 hours.
Base what you're doing on successful grow logs here on shroomery, post your teks before exciting if you're in doubt if it's up to date.

Mind if I ask where you are? Most medium sized grocery stores have wbs and most hardware stores do too.
Ultimately you have to have grain.

If you can't find it honestly I'd hold off on bags until you can go to the mainland, buy 100 or 200 pounds of wbs.
Until then if I was you I'd keep doing cakes and find some good genetics, that would serve you well before expanding a lot anyways.
But worth mentioning (without checking exactly how remote you are) it's worth calling stores to find where the closest place might be that would carry grain.
Wheat, rhy, or wbs are great.

Wbs is the shit. I just finished my first 20 pound bag and easily got a pound of dry mushrooms from it, and that was starting with zero experience.
Seems like they should have wbs everywhere, maybe seasonally that far north though.
Why bags instead of jars?

Yeah, start with cakes or grain jars. I wouldn't mess with bags until you are successful at generating clean spawn. I honestly don't think I'd mess with bags until you have a flowhood.
