Some kind of Gym?
    #26424691 - 01/09/20 01:25 PM (4 years, 20 days ago)

These caught me eye in the woods. I've never found any Gyms but these look similar to pictures I have seen. When I looked at em, the older ones had a bluish/green tint to it. They were growing out of dead wood. I will get a spore print later on today.

Yeah, I second that opinion. It kinda looks like Hypholoma lateritium.

What is your general location? They look like a Hypholoma species that has been observed in Florida, Puerto Rico and nearby islands.

I'm in the Pacific Northwest. The spore print was black/purple as expected. I'm pretty positive it's Hypholoma capnoides

That's what it looks like to me. The size is why I wanted to know a general location,  there is a small Hypholoma species from Florida and the Caribbean.
