I thought of something though. When Field of Dreams came out, it was big & the “if you build it” line permeated pop culture. It was used in marketing campaigns (various commercials, etc.), and I think it was even used in at least one parody/spoof type movie. It’s common for these famous lines to get reused but tweaked a wee bit. So it’s not impossible for, say, a Taco Bell commercial to use the line “if you build it, they will come” and people remember that better than the movie.

Yeah. I watched this movie at least a dozen times as a teenager. It used to come on TV a lot too when people still had cable TV.
I always remember it being white.
As for the mandela effect..likely it's our brains playing tricks on us but I swear, in the reality I used to be a part of, Australia was below New Zealand. That really fucks with my head.

I remember when people just called the Mandela effect having a bad memory. Now apparently when you are so uneducated and clueless about world history that you think Mandela died in prison, it’s some kind of conspiracy or proof of supernatural forces.

I can’t speak for all of it, but some of those instances come from movies I’ve watched my whole life, and know very very well. In Scarface, “another quaalude she’ll love me in the morning” is definitely in the restaurant. 100%. And in BTTF, the Libyan terrorists were always in the Volkswagen. I’m not a car guy (that’s why I’m not certain that Cameron’s car was an Alfa Romeo instead of a BMW (though I do know it was white)), but I’ve always known it to be a VW. I even made this post referencing that fact a couple weeks ago. I’m as sure of that stuff as I am that Jason Vorhees had red marks on his goalie mask in the 80s Fridays, or that Bill Murray was laying on a hotel floor when he said “he slimed me”. This is stuff that has always been this way, but could easily be misremembered.
What about this field of dreams business.

What’s up with field of dreams?
Ask me what I think happened and we’ll see if I get it right or if the mandela effect strikes again!

Or it could be an innate property of the universe. I'm not saying they are all real, or any, but if any of them are it could be a distortion in spacetime that could be relative to any number of phenomenon including ripples propagated during creation, fluctuations in the Galactic center, or even entropy. Mandela effect IS wacky but it definitely deserves to be treated at least somewhat seriously considering we have governments that would absolutely pull the shit you just mentioned. It sounds insane to me to even suggest they wouldn't.

But what purpose would it serve to change the color of Ferris buellers car
When I remember field of dreams tho I remember ‘they will come’. When I hear ‘he will come’ I think of Jesus.
And it’s funny I was looking on YouTube about this and someone commented. “Build the temple”. So. Build the temple, he will come. Is this movie about building up your mind so that Jesus can enter and work through you. Or what.
Sorry. I’m hung up on this field of dreams shit now

It’s always been ‘If you build it, he will come.’ Thats why at the very end Shoeless Joe repeats it word for word and points at the guy’s father.
Here’s the video with the scene I'm talking about.

Because there was multiple players that showed up to the field would be my guess.
A person absolutely cannot trust memories. I figured that out from personal experience.
You’re not the only person though, there’s a slew of youtube videos saying what your saying.
