I'm really just hoping he goes away. But he's spent like $100M of his own money already. It's an insane scheme to write off a bunch of money. Late stage capitalism at its best really.

It's hard to understand what his motivations might be. I don't see this setting him up for a later run at governor or anything else. It was kind of hard to watch Bill Maher trying to take Judge Judy seriously when she was on his show plugging Bloomberg, but as Bill said Judy's show has set some kind of record for reality TV or something.

He’s in it to get his name out there in anticipation of a Bernie nomination necessitating his third party run to guarantee victory for Trump and protect the ruling class.
Bloomberg might be an idiot but he’s not blowing hundreds of millions of dollars on ads for nothing.

What do you think, a Bloomberg/Gabbard ticket?

Why would Gabbard join up with Bloomberg??? They have nothing in common.

What? They both have 2 B's, one G, and an R in their names. If that's having nothing in common, no one has anything in common.

That's an interesting theory, but I'm not sure it would guarantee a victory for Trump. It might crystalize the idea that this election is a class war and help Bernie. I'm not expecting anything too revolutionary but medicine would be a start.
Then we have to wait for AOC to grow up. She's the fourth highest twitter subject among all the politicians in the world, ahead of all Democrats.

Mostly to get a response from you. With all the Tulsi bets happening I knew it'd draw you out.

I know. That guy who proposed the bet wanted to see if he won the bet, before he made the bet.

Michael Bloomberg today did not rule out spending a billion dollars of his own money on the 2020 presidential race, even if he does not win the Democratic nomination, and said he would mobilize his well-financed political operation to help Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren win in November if either is the party nominee, despite their sharp policy differences.
It would be pretty strange to see Bloomberg pump 100's of millions into a Sanders presidential run. Who knows if he actually would do that? Maybe he figures a president Sanders wouldn't be able to do any of the stuff he wants to do anyways, because congress wouldn't be made up of people who want all this stuff and the media will tell people how he's ruining the country 24/7 and there's usually enough people who believe whatever the TV tell them to believe.
It says he's already spent 200 million on his own campaign so far. That's more than most people would make in several lifetimes. At 20/h it would be 5000 years of full time to make 200,000,000. Say you work 50 years a lifetime. You're at 100 lifetimes there.
Is anybody seeing the reasons why billionaires shouldn't exist? Is it just me? Or did that 77 year old guy do the equivalent of 5000 years of 20/h work and I don't understand that, plus furthermore, it's appropriate in a 1 citizen 1 vote based democracy to buy elections.
