Hi all. Been lurking for a while and finally have something to post. I bought an online grow kit and it has been doing it thing for about 4 or 5 weeks. The cake (I think thay is the right word) was white and I was waiting the 5 days extra recommended before pinning started and turning on the light when I noticed there was already 2 mushrooms growing. One of which was quite large. The biggest seemed to grow very well and the veil broke and it dropped its spores overnight. I picked it as I didn't want it to go rotten or anything. There still doesn't seem to be pins although the light has o ly been on about 5 days. Just wondering if everything is OK and why this one mushroom was so early/far ahead?!

Also forgot to say that the second mushroom hasn't grown at all in a few days. The photo one grew rapidly. Any advice?

That’s a nice shroom. Sounds like the other one aborted, if the cap turns darker pick it.
It could be some kind of contamination making it fruit or it could just have been ready to go. What conditions are you keeping it in and all that?
You’ll need pictures and more details to get better help.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't kniw mushrooms could abort! Apart from some liberty cap picking last year I'm a total noob.
It's an inject and forget kit. It is currently in my living room in its grow bag inside a box.

If you have a pressure cooker it’s actually really easy and cheap to do it yourself and you’ll get much better results.
You should print that cap so you’ve got more spores.

Well congrats on the shroom, your first is always super exciting!
But we really cant tell you much with out seeing your actual FC/sub/set up...
Was it grain based or BRF?
growkits are kinds shunned in here just because of the cost vs output...
You could get way more shrooms if you would have taken that spore syringe and knocked up some brf jarz...
If I were u I'd take a print from that cap and a clone from that stem asap before u csnt anymore...

Unfortunately the spores dropped overnight. I'm now drying the mushroom. I'll have to try an find a really simple guide. I had hoped this kit would be easy.

You still might be able to get s A print if u act fast and put it on foil... theres always spores left over ime
I'd clone that shit tho... and if you cant do agar or dont want to then make some brf paste ...it works the same and u can get a clone sample going to make more
