What? No chili oil?
edit: sorry, I just read your first post. Chil oil is included... and all is right with the world.

Birthdays in our house I make what ever you want. I hate spaghetti so the wife and daughter both usually pick that. Even if I don't like it I don't mess around though. San marzano tomatoes, panchetta, ribeye, cherry smoked el scorponero (my own pepper hybrid) typical shit, red wine, mushrooms, bay leaves, sugar ect... I always forget to write the recipe down and then swear up and down it's the best sauce/gravy I've ever had.
Going down saturday. I usually make noodles from scatch but saturday the only day I have off for the past two weeks and won't have the time.

Made some pot roast in the instapot. Only second time using it but they are pretty nifty.
Browned top round and brisket.
Sauteed onion and garlic till soft, added sliced carrots and celery.sauteed for a few more mins then added red wine, chicken stock, oak barrel aged balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, thyme and salt and pepper to taste.
Insta pot on pressure cook for 75 mins. Pulled meat and added some cornstarch to thicken gravy. Turned out killer.

Made a couple small batches of mustard, this one's really popular. Ingredients: my favorite beer Lizard King pale ale, apple cider vinegar, Orange, pineapple juice, honey, ginger (lots), shallots, brown sugar, kosher salt, fresh thyme and rosemary. Has a nice blend of black, brown and yellow mustard seeds for a little kick.
Orange honey ginger mustard
This batch I made for my daughter as she misses a maple mustard she used to get on a sandwich at panera. I've never had it but I gave her a taste without telling her what it was and she loved it. Got so excited.
Same mustard seed mix with blueberry maple stout, Bells double cream stout, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, brown sugar, shallots, garlic, kosher salt and a dash of malt vinegar.

No not like I would a hot sauce. I just soak the seeds in the beer and vinegar overnight and then add rest on stove as I gently heat it up and then can it
