Improper Storage?

Hey gang,
I know this is a new account. I can't seem to find my old one. I think in a fit of paranoia I deleted it.
I got some spore syringes for research sent to me. They are the B+ Cubensis.
My stupid fucking friend put them in a mostly dark closet that is around 80F.
They have been in there for approximately 6-7 days.
Are we fucked if we wanted to theoretically use these research spores to inoculate some jars?
Swift replies much appreciated, thank you!

If spores couldn't hold up to 80F they would've gone extinct a long time ago

True story...I forgot my spore collection out in the garage over the summer when I moved and it got in the triple digits for days straight....miraculously they have survived, atleast the ones that I have checked on agar so far. Like Quirk said...they're hardy lil fux

I just store prints now. Its so much simpler if you can get agar work down. I just print a cap or two every year and I have WAY more spores than I'll ever need. When it's time to start from scratch I whip up some agar plates and scrap a sliver of spores onto the plate. My days of bacterial/contaminated spore syringes are over! Fuck that.

yeah for sure, I am definitely interested in agar when the time comes. I'm just starting from scratch again and all I have right now are the syringes.
I have another question though. Should the spores be clumping in the syringe? I look at my syringe and it has like one solid-ish ball of black floating in the solution. Is this normal? Do I need to do something to loosen it up? Do I need to loosen it up?

Spores clump in their syringes all the time. And the dark ball you described sounds about right. No big deal. Shake the syringe vigorously before you use it and you'll be fine.

Thanks everyone for feedback in this thread!
Update: I shook the syringes and although I couldn't exactly unclump the black balls, I could see some looser smaller clumps and specs throughout the water.
I inoculated some jars (after doing the whole sterilization process in a pressure cooker and let cool overnight) and noticed that on some pushes the entire black clump would just get pushed out in some of the jars. Haha. Curious to see if it'll have more flushes or if it'll just stall/not have enough room? Dono.
Now we wait I guess!

You gotta keep on shaking man.
I hate that part my arm gets tired, it seemed to help a little bit if they’re room temp too, mine were usually right out of the fridge.

Another reason to go with prints and agar.
I've *heard* of people growing successfully from syringes that sat in a sock drawer for a year or more. 80°F for a week would not have me concerned.

Im not sure the heat tolerance of spores but i know its well above 80F!
I would almost bet that spores can handle simmering water and be fine.

Hey my friends and comrades!
So far the jars are looking good. Growth is slow since it is the middle of winter in this frigid place. But I managed to find a solution. Have my babies on a little baby step stool thing over my heating vent. We don't keep the heat turned up super warm and I've been watching them like a mother with her nest of eggs. They seem to be growing faster now that I have them on the stool that is over the vent. (the vent isn't blocked, there's plenty of airways since the steps are hollow).
I don't see any signs of contamination, but it is still early days, so we will see!!!

I just swabbed some spores off a car that I fruited on in open air 3 years ago (they have been sitting in the 100+ to 35 degree weather for 3 years) and got some growth on an agar plate. Your good bro.

UPDATE!!!
Cakes are colonized AND consolidated. But I made the mistake of using PINT jars and not WIDE MOUTH. Have to take a hammer to them in a few minutes to birth them. Some of the jars have insane growth of fruit already tho!
Once I rinse these babies, I'll be dunking for 24 hours. Then on to fruiting chamber.
From there, if I want to do bulk substrate, do I use agar or syringes? I know how to get a spore print and how to store it, just not sure where to go from here. I kind of want to avoid doing the whole BRF jars and syringe TEK again.
Thanks for all the support! This community has been so kind and helpful. I love you all <3333
Good vibes my siblings!

You could just dig the cake out with a knife or something if you’re gonna spawn to bulk and save the jars.
With a print you need to swipe it onto a plate unless you’re gonna risk making your own syringe and putting it to grain.

Just fruit them from the top. Lightly scrape off the vermiculite and do a coir mix on top. Check out the picture in my avatar, works like a charm!

75 BUCKS?! Holy SHIT!!
Nah, these jars were cheap. I smashed them like piggie banks!
I already have some caps opening up, so I'll be reading up on agar plating because I wanna do bulk substrate after these cakes are done fruiting.

ok so, I dunk and rolled and put my cakes in the fruiting chamber with rinsed perlite about 14 days ago. There are maybe less than 5 pins forming on various cakes (I have 6). I mist every 12 hours, have 6 holes drilled into the chamber (2 on each side and then 1 near the top where the handles are). I keep a fan pointed 45 degrees away on medium setting. My room temp is probably around 66-68 degrees F. And they get both ambient and direct sunlight given how sunny it is in the day. My window faces west.
Should I dial in my chamber more? Is it normal to go this long without seeing any caps? Or many pins? I searched this forum a lot for some answers, but I'm not sure what to do...
thanks fam!

You need more holes if you’re trying to do a SFGC, probably not enough airflow.

Well! Took some weeks, but I finally have dialed my fruiting chamber and am seeing fruits! I have harvested around 1/4 oz of fruits so far. Going to gift them to a friend. Took some spore prints as well and will move to agar and bulk substrate.
