Get a cruiser.
Big wheels, soft trucks.

My recommendation is to get super hard wheels so you can power slide easily to slow down quickly. May be your most important consideration especially for cruisy/hillbomb skating. Fellow aging skater (cruiser) here.

Second hand board. Replace the grommets in the trucks and off you go.
Don't think. Just skate.

Funnily enough I found my old ZOO YORK complete deck circa 2005 in the basement. Bright pink Royal trucks lol. Thing still moves; bearings are super fast. I feel extremely foreign skating now, despite being in the best shape of my life lol.
Can anyone still 360 flip?!

I think it would take me 100 tries at least but probably yea
I skated for a few years almost every day but gave up 2 years ago. It was the most fun thing to do when I was younger. Besides smoking weed
At this point in time I prefer other sports, I recently got into climbing and I enjoy it a lot

I did the same thing when I decided to rejoin the scene, I got a local board someone had from a skate shop that closed a decade ago, but haven't done much skating because the local streets and roads are way to rough for me taste. There is skate parks in the city, but hard to get to because the transit bus doesn't go there. I love the emote

I liked Bam and the element boards, I found that they kept the shape longer, therefor keeps good pop in the tail for ollie and what not, but I didn't have the chance often to use them

I had a very unconventional skate style, somewhat influenced by Mark Gonzales. I did really off the wall stuff and didn't dress like a skateboarder. If I kept on going with it, my style would be very much like this guy's:
