I’m using a greenhouse but I have cut the space in half with tinfoil on the shelf to make a smaller micro climate

Next i am taking agar directly to my bulk and growing it sideways in bags mainly for ease but also to keep contamination down

This is my humidity and ventilation set up just a standard ultrasonic humidifier and a fan that blows through a hole I can adjust in the top of the greenhouse

And lastly here are the cakes that are growing pins it’s about three days growth on them

These are West Texas pans I’ve seen marys grow but I’m not quite sure how large these will get probably another week before they are fully mature what are your thoughts

Looks nice. How long have you had that humidifier? Do you notice any difference between the shelves as far as humidity and fae? I notice in mine the humidity won't fall all the way to the bottom shelf. It will still grow things but there is a gradient between each shelf. I have shoebox size trays of pans in the middle and one mono size tray of cubes up top. I have to space them out or it blocks the mist from reaching each shelf. I see your foil blocks off the whole shelf, have you ran more than one shelf at a time? Nice job btw.

The ultrasonic humidifier I’ve had for two years now normally the humidity fills up the bottom of the greenhouse first that is why I put the tinfoil there to cut the amount of water down as I’m afraid drops of water will affect the pans growing
My last grow on Halloween was golden teachers

I’ve noticed you have one of those really old funky humidifiers the droplets seem to be a lot larger on that style than the ultrasonic when the ultrasonic is put at the top it works better than on the bottom

Yes this old POS is awesome and terrible at the same time. I just used it bc it's not ideal and I thought it would be good demonstration for calibrating a new Martha with whatever is on hand. I'm switching to the inkbird as soon as this first pan flush happens. I'll prob go humidifier shopping soon too. I want to set one up with an ultrasonic as well so I might look for one like yours. I don't like ultrasonics bc they seem to fail me after a month or so. Is that a humidity controller probe I see or are you on timers?

Random Q.. how do you reduce fire hazards? I'm pretty new to this stuff and I also have a tin foil pan monotub and paranoid about it reflecting the bright LED light in the wrong way or substrate drying out and catching fire? like serious OCD going on in back of my mind...

The knob on the ultrasonic humidifier is just to set intensity of the mist it has a timer on it to adjust times it will come on
When I first started growing mushrooms I had your style of humidifier I would set the top in a 20 gallon container at the bottom of the greenhouse and I would never run out of water
The ultrasonic you must clean every month or so with apple cider vinegar or they will fail on you

Put everything electrical on a power breaker that’s all I do
If something starts going bad hopefully the strip will break first
