Nah, for Lepista/Clitocybe nuda it should be faintly pinkish to peach colored. Light, yes, but not white.

They are Lepista species, just be sure that the spore print is not rusty brown,

sorry. yes, pinkish buff is the descriptor.    ive never gotten a pinkish spore print from them.  must be very faint.  I admittedly do not have the best vision.      they're one of my favorites in omeletes

When looking at spore prints,  use natural light and be sure to get a good spore print.

Edit: never use a microscope to determine spore color.  Spore color should be determined by looking at spore prints that have deposited a thick layer of spores, but look at the entire print and not only the heavy areas.

i've also only printed blewits on black construction paper.  maybe that hindered its appearance?

like you said "as long as it isnt rust brown".      corts also dont seem to retain the inrolled margin when fully mature from what ive noticed .  fully mature blewits still have a very inrolled margin

If you leave the cap printing for long enough, and it indeed releases enough spores onto your chosen surface, it
should reveal its true color. A too light print won't suffice, and it might appear next to white in contrast to a dark
background.

Also, if you compare a decent print of Lepista nuda to a very light Cortinarius print, chances are you might get
confused, as a thin layer of rusty spores might look creamy to light pinkish, whereas a solid Cortinarius print will not be
mistaken.

Thanks boys. Here's some 24 hour prints. Only start to pick up the pinkish hue with a heavy print. Always good to rule out Cortinarius.

Looks good,  now check out the print near a window during day light and you can see the pinkish hues.

I can just barely make em out from the pic.    my prints have never been dark enough to pick up  the pink hue  I guess

You can see the pinkish color where I circled. Natural light will make it more obvious.
