A good dunk after the first flush will do wonders, Really let that sub re hydrate. Either way, they look meaty, delicious and !

It's a Nikon d810, low-iso/long-exposure, shot in RAW format and adjusted in photoshop.

Should I mist more, or maybe add more water the the bed of perlite the tub is resting on.
Or, would it be a good idea to add water to the tub itself just enough so that there's just an excess of water around the substrate, which can be drawn from as more water evaporates from the sub?

You can pour water down the sides four a couple hours and dump off any water it doesn’t suck up after that.
Or just wait for this flush to be over and submerge the sub in water for a couple hours after that. A misting now may help.. the coir does have a dry color to it. I’d usually refrain from directly misting. That flush is pretty far along though.. not sure you’ll do much good at this point, but water down the sides is a safe bet that shouldn’t cause problems

The only draw back to any mono is more "eggs in one basket" so to speak, if the tub goes south and gets contaminated you usually lose the entire tub, 6 or so quarts of spawn and 6-12 quarts sub gone. If you use good sterile technique you shouldn't have any problems. I feel like the more I baby my projects and constantly check on em and fiddle with things, the more I get issues arising and contains. Set and forget monos are the way to go imo.

I did a partial harvest today, sub seems to still be drying out at the same rate. I poured a few cups of RO water along the sides and now the sub is floating, I plan to drain/pour the water out but I'd like to keep it as is for as long as is advisable, so with that I guess I should keep the water there 2-8 hours, or maybe more?

I like to weigh the sub down with a small weight and give a full covered dunk at least overnight. To each their own though. In the end it's only about re hydrating the mycelium, however you go about it is just personal preference.

Added a few dozen millimeters of alkaline water to the tub which surrounds the substrate and I think it's drawing it in as the next flush is coming up. Also, they seem to do be growing better without misting post pinning.

Cased a suspected contaminated jar (few black spots) and it turned out surprisingly. This might not be Golden Teacher, but rather PE6 or Orissa India.
