I was listening to Sum 41's song, "In Too Deep" today and it hit me that it's 20 years old. I'm a 90's kid. I was born in '86 so I def remember the entire 90s, but it blows my mind that this song came out TWENTY fucking years ago. When I think 20 years ago I still think 70's.
Then it gets me all nostalgic thinking about the things I did back then and the people I knew... I had an awesome childhood, especially in high school.
Kinda rambling now but when I think back I really did have it good in life.

"be cause you don't know us at all we laugh when old people fall but what would you expect with a conscience so small"
"We like having fun at other peoples expense and cutting people down is just a minor offense then"
Oh how the world has changed in those 20 years.
oh wait those are lyrics from "fat lip" ... Ill post anyways Sum-41 made some good shit.

90s still feel like the very near past to me too. Any time someone says "10 years ago" I'm thinking were talking about the 90s until I actually do the math.

Yep, I was born in 86 as well, so I feel you...really hard. Is this what a mid-life crisis feels like? Have I done enough with my life, how long do my parents have left? Did I spend enough time with my sister when she was little? Did I pay enough attention to my dog who died 3 years ago? These are my thoughts everyday. Hope I didn't bum you guys out too much, haha

A friend gave me that album, maybe i traded my copy of Meteora for it... i don't remember. "the kids aren't alright" is one of my all time favs. My copy will barely play 3 secs without skipping Thankfully I made digital rips of every cd i could get my hands on and somehow still have the files today.

Epic!
I think I lost all my data files from the past. Well, most of them. Some I copied over the years.
I remember I was really into collecting and burning CD's back in the 90's. I had CD's everywhere

It is a riddle of a song. He keeps blood in his head.. but where would it go? I'm worried he got stabbed and the song is a cry for help. They should have called an ambulance but instead they recorded an album

I was about 6 watching pokemon with my cat patches
Used to have gold fish around that time
One of them his name was cutie
He used to play dead until you shook his food
He wasnt like all of the other fish
when he was really dead I cried
remember just being like wake up cutie wake up , shaking his food
Buried him outback in a empty juice box
They are pretty smart
I know of a spot where there is a bunch of big fat gold fish in the wet lands around here
I used to go get really high and hangout with them
You cant sneack up on them , I tried
Somehow they will see you , out of the water
For real , they are probably smarter than me

That is Methods of Mayhem, a brief lived rap/rock band that Tommy Lee had before breaking off and doing titles under Tommy Lee
had the Methods of Mayhem c.d. had better tracks on it

Some kind of country music show , it sounds like more fun
They sing about dogs , beer , fishin , pick up trucks
I bet it's full of a bunch of hot county chicks
They probably all have bon fiers
horses , dogs , beer or whatever some barn or something
Who the hell knows ?
I've never been to one of these before
Some how you gave me this idea
I'm going to check a few of these out
I see it as a mystery now , something to figure out

I remember back in 4th Grade rocking out to the Macarena during recess (it was like an activity). There was a group of us, mostly girls (or maybe all girls except me!) if i remember, all dancing near the school building to this song. Man, feels like a lifetime ago.....

This was also around the time CD burners became more accessible. My friend got one and burned all of us, "Toxicity" from System of a Down and we went APESHIT. Having a CD burner available when we all just bought our new Sony Discmans (Discmen?) because we all had jobs now, and being able to make our own playlists from our Napster acquired songs? Holy shit we felt like kings.
