Found July 10 2019, on Vancouver Island, BC. Palaver Rhoeas, produces Rhoeadine. Does anybody know much about these?, I would love some info or feed back on them.

Thank you, just trying to see if these are worth going back to the spot I found them, and harvest them this year.

Those are a poppy but a non opiate ,,, opiate poppies are about 3 to 4 free tall, with white or purple in color with leaves that look like thick like made of green pale leather or plastic looking ,, and california poppy ,, small and orange 6 inch ,, if you find them can tell how to harvest

If you like the flowers then go for it. If your planning on experimenting with it i would say just buy some sommniferum seeds. They are cheap and there is a lot more info out there on them.
Here is a article i came across with a quick google search. Link and a reddit thread link and good old erowid Link
Not much out there as far as experiences go. Also if your looking for consumption advice might be better to start a thread in TPE.

I understand that it produces no Opium, and just Rhoeadine, and that these are just a common poppy. But if anyone has consumed them, what was the experience like, that's more what I'm after, as Rhoeadine is a mild sedative. I personally have no intention of consuming them, but I want to learn about it and it's properties.
Thank you for the links

I do not feel it would be worth your time to spend the harvest these for that purpose. A mild sedative it will probably take you hours and hours for not including some kind of extraction process.

A few studies I found, regarding tests on mice with Papaver Rhoeas extract https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/11274828/ (In this study, chemical analysis by TLC showed that the petals contain some anthocyanins, whereas no alkaloids were detected. The toxicological effect of alcoholic and aqueous plant extract administered intraperitoneally was determined in mice. The toxicological results obtained indicated that 2000 mg/kg is LD10 and 4000 mg/kg is LD50. Behavioral and pharmacological studies of ethanolic and aqueous extract showed that the plant extract reduced locomotory, exploratory and postural behavior of mice. This was evaluated through two specific behavioral tests; a non-familiar environment test (the Staircase test) and a familiar environment test (Free exploratory test)

(Papaveraceae) is an annual herb indigenous to Iran along with many other regions of the world (Zargari, 1995). In Iran folk medicine, the plant extract has been used in treatment for a wide range of diseases including inflammation, diarrhea, sleep disor- ders, cough, analgesia, and to reduce the withdrawal signs of opioid addiction (Zargari, 1995). It is also claimed that P. rhoeas exhibits sedative, narcotic, and emollient effects in human (Zargari, 1995). Furthermore, it is known to claim intestinal and urinary irritation and to be useful in various conditions such as bronchitis, pneumonia, and rash fever (Zargari, 1995). Chemical studies have demonstrated the presence of rhoeadine, rhoeadic acid (Kalva & Sanyar, 1989; Slavik et al., 1989), papaveric acid (Zargari, 1995), rhoeagenine (Ray et al., 1991), and anthocyanins (Matysik & Benesz, 1991) as the major compounds of the extract of P. rhoeas. Our previous research has focused on the effects of P. rhoeas on expression and development of morphine dependence (Pourmotabbed et al., 2004) and morphine- induced conditioned place preference (Sahraei et al., 2006) in mice. It is necessary to investigate the effect of the extract of P. rhoeas on morphine-induced behavioral tolerance. The current work was undertaken to evaluate the effects of P. rhoeas extract on the acquisition and expression of morphine-induced behavioral tolerance in mice.)
I highly recommend if you're interested, please read these studies. If it helps smoke a bowl & read away

Thank you for sharing your experience ft116 I appreciate it.
Here is a piece of The study done in Iran, where they explain the preparation of the extract they use.
-Plant material P. rhoeas was collected from Kermanshah region (western Iran). The plant was authenticated by M. Kamalinejad (Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran), and a voucher specimen coded P-147 has been deposited at the herbarium of the Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (Tehran, Iran).
-Preparation of the extract The extract preparation method was as follows: 50 g of the total plant (including fruit, petal, root, stem, and leaf) powder was added to 500 mL of 50% ethanol (v=v) and was left to macerate at room temperature for 20 h. The basin was slowly rotated during this time. After fil- tration, ethanol was evaporated at low pressure at a tem- perature of 33 C and the extract was later freeze-dried. The yield of extraction was 15 mg of freeze-dried powder for 100 mg of the dry plant. The extract was dissolved in normal saline and was immediately administered intra- peritoneally (i.p.) to the mice, later expressed as mg of extract per kg body weight.
