Looks like there might be one hiding under the stretched out myc just to the left of the one in the middle too.
Or it’s a grain.
Either way have fun playing wheres Waldo with your tub the next day or two!

Yup, good eye! Two more players have entered the game. I'm not gonna peek again till tomorrow. I can't believe how fast they're coming in now.

I only grew in the beginning. A few times. Then I was mostly active in the Pub and social forums. I left the Shroomery in 2013 for a few reasons and recently rejoined back in December to start my hobby up again and say what's up to the old crew.

I've noticed the walls of the tub are beginning to dry and only the center mycelium seems to have some dew on it. Should I still just leave it? It's still fruiting though. Not many pins on that side either.
Then again it's just the first flush. My instinct tells me to let it keep doing its thing then give it a dunk after first flush rather than after 2.
Thoughts?

Dunking isn’t necessary, according to lots of ppl here, including some TCs and Tribe members. I’m still trying this out myself, but the idea is that heavy misting accomplishes the same thing.
Someone weighed a sub before and after a dunk and there wasn’t much difference.
Sorry dude, I tried to find the thread in question for you, but can’t. I think it was the general discussion thread, in which case the info is lost forever lmao

No worries, I was considering giving it a small misting, but I should wait until the flush is harvested though right? If I recall pins don't like direct water contact?

I used to dunk but started getting really waterlogged flushes.
Now I’ll put like an inch or two of water in the tub and let it sit for around an hour then drain it and soak the surface with the mister.
Seems to be better so far but haven’t tried it enough to know for sure.
Misting pins is ok as long as you’re gentle with it.

Also turns out to be outdated info lol. (I recently came back from a long myco break as well) You can mist directly too - they’ll be fine. But you might wanna wait for the droplets to evaporate a bit more, just for surface conditions.

I just picked up a fine mist spray bottle from the personal care section of Walmart. It put the perfect coating on the surface. Something told me the regular cleaning spray bottles would be overkill.

That final photo is where the dryer spot was. There's not much happening there.
