Coir is “non nutritious” I think I also read RR say that Verm is a great substrate as well And yes I’m still plagued by that whisker mold

Still not doing much. Smells great and humidity seems to be on point, maybe my bottom polyfill is too tight?

I used casing on previous grows, this is the first time I'm omitting it. I might go back to it depending on how this one turns out. Thanks for the suggestions.

If it was spawned on the 1st it might just need more time, but loosening the polyfil won't hurt as long as the sub doesn't dry out

Unless it’s PE or another slow one I’d add more air but keep a close eye on it. I’ve ruined quite a few beautiful myc covered surfaces like that with too much air drying them out.
There are a few knots hiding in there though.
I need to learn the “what he said” emoji guy.

They do have the dry rings around them so I'll probably just leave it as is and give it more time. This is the first time I've grown in like 10 years so I forget the timing.

Still not doing much, knotting up but no pins yet. I've started fanning though, I think there's too much surface moisture.

Naw, if it knots, you’re providing good conditions. I would stop fiddling with it - it won’t be much longer now.

Your surface looks great man, anytime I’ve had one with that much fluffy myc I always ended up with it matted.
Some of those knots look bigger should be anytime now.
