Fruiting since 12/3. Pins appeared about 8 days ago. They appear to be growing but seem to be taking way to long to get fruiting bodies. Any ideas as to what is going on or what to expect. First time grow attempt.

Lol or tidal wave or whatever that crazy one is called.
I’d be so bummed putting all that time in and getting oysters.

It could well be a contamination rather than a bunk spore. Perhaps try again with good clean technique?

Apparently I am being pointed towards stress as a contributing factor but cant find much else other than metabolytes that the myc secrete in response to stress

Metabolites. Still looking like some oysters.
edit: most oysters want lots of fresh air and cooler temperatures- so they are producing metabolites in response to the environmental stress. That's also why they don't exactly look like oysters.
