Traits of a good larger dehydrator: go!

I'm wanting to build a larger dehydrator for cubes. Good for a few pounds dry at a time.
Is there any logic in keeping new, wet fruit from almost dry fruit? Like having two operating to stagger the loads?
Best temp?
How much air flow?
How much can you stuff it?
Best heat sources?
Can the airflow be just air rising out the top?

I load the wet stuff on the top cause the air vents up.
Very simple concept adaptable to any size.
Verum showed me one made of cardboard, space heater and box fan.
Anything above 100°F will work pretty well.

Whats the highest temp, if that equates to fastest drying...

I think mine got up to like 120°F at the max. Cheap heaters too.
Only reason I stick to Cabela's is cause high humidity in my region in the summer time makes the garage I use unsuitable.
160°F would be great but I'll take 110°F with a little less fear of burning the house down. Hehe
There's good discussion in the link.

I use a 60 pint dehumidifier and a oscillating fan in a 4x8 grow tent with my old weed drying racks. Works great but has higher power consumption than the food dehydrators. You could probably fit 3lbs per drying rack.
