hab: grew from dirt in a lawn loc: valley of CA gills: light brown stem: dark brown, hollow. bruised slightly darker

This looks like Melanoleuca, did you do a spore print or notice pinkish hues on the gills?

Looks like Tremella mesenterica and the one with gills looks like a Panaelous species to me

loc: north california valley hab: dirt right next to a stump stem: thin cap: fragile was in a rush to pick these so i didnt look at the gills all but once, the spores were black or very dark, printing at the moment

@doc9151 i didnt take the specimen with me, noted for next time tho. loc: north valley of CA hab: dirt, leaf litter cap: bell shape, smooth, slight color change towards middle, curls over gills stipe: solid, smooth, bruises brown gills: close, white

loc: north valley CA hab: dirt, leaf liter, grass cap: violaceous, concave, slight incurve gills: crowded, adnate with slight decurrent, white or grey hard to tell cause violet tint stipe: solid, violaceous, fibrous, bruised purple i think its a clitocybe species took a stab at identifying on mushroom observer

I'd say that one is Lepista nuda, or a Cortinarius.
