Yeah, I've been wondering if anyone's tried to cross it with a(nother) cube variety

I know it’s probably not gonna do anything but in a few days when the lc is done I’m gonna knock up a bunch of jars and run shoeboxes with different subs at the same time.
Straight coir Coir/manure Coir/sawdust
And maybe one with straw.
I made one of these lcs with a pinch of agar so it’s extra thick hopefully it speeds things up.

Man that's wild. Hole punch it and try mixing some sand in with your bulk. See if that cuts down on the fluffy crazy grim keeps getting.
What's the background on Nats? Where was it found? Was it during on dung? I'm really getting curious with this one.

Yeah I took a wedge as soon as i could but it’s all grown over you can hardly tell.
The plan now is to grab a couple types of myc.
It seems like it could be similar to pans where you need a certain myc pheno to get really good grows and some kinds will just puff up crazy and barely fruit.
I think it’s South African.

Yeah I just looked up some info. Idian ocean side of the tip of South Africa.
I would definitely experiment with different bulk sub spawn ratios of sand and or dung. Anyone got elephant dung laying around?
Gonna need to get my hands on a print of this one for sure.

I have a feeling these would do well with a wood based substrate.

I wish I had some other cube spawn I'd try crossing a shoebox. One of my shoeboxes I dumped half a qt of jiffy in by accident and let it ride. It gave zero fucks it looks just like the coir ones. Probably try some straw down the road.

Thank you I'm gonna clone those. I've noticed less overlay with no top coat at all.

I finally got one big enough for a proper print. All others had dime sized or smaller caps with a comparatively thick stipe, so I have a bunch of lil cheerio prints. I've got a lot more respect for those who do pan print giveaways now. It is tedious fumbling with smaller caps. This cap is still not much bigger than an inch in diameter, but it'll do. Gonna clone this one as well as one of the smaller ones in a cluster.

Here's how most of mine look:

Anyone else notice this happening to alot of stipes? I'd say about 5% of mine look like this:

They got dry, low rh maybe? Looks like the outer stipe growth couldn't keep up with the inner growth pulling moisture from the sub?

I went a way for a couple of days and a few second flush fruits flopped over on the substrate and turned into blue snakes!

It isn’t very clear in the photo but the stipes were pale blue and the caps were too.

Excellent psilo. You're going to love dosing those if you haven't already.
This is probably the last flush of my never ending sub.

Surface conditions of my 7 upcoming Sb's are pretty fucked with blobborama, I'll probably have to birth them to the GH to get a decent 1st flush.

Wish I would have tried no top layer on a couple as someone did above. Seems to make sense the way my fugly myc behaves reaching through top layers and casings. Plenty of spawn coming up for experiments.

That has been an epic sub / culture Grim! How many quarts of grain spawn in that shoebox and what was your spawn ratio?
If I was shooting for like a level 2 trip would that be 1-1.5 grams of Natalensis?

That one was 2qt spawn 2qt coir.
I just dunked the fucker again lol.
Can't remember the last time I only ate 1-1.5g but thats probably about right for level 2.

Damn that’s gotta be 15 inches at least stretched out.
I’ll be pouring my lc tomorrow or Monday, pretty excited for this.

This germ plate cracks me up every couple days when I check it.

It’s so different from any other germ plate I’ve had.
PCs running right now, pouring the agar syrup lc in the morning.
