This is my short and sweet version of it. I would take pans over cubes most days. I like cubes if I need an inner journey. They make me "feel" more but are darker then nats. Pans can get dark but not crazy like cubes. I like heavy visuals and pans never failed me there. Cubes have been hit or miss on potency where pans are just strong AF. Don't get me wrong ghost, yeti, melmac, all have been up there but I need at least 2.5g dry of them. Eat 1.5g dry of pans and you will be surprised at what a difference there is. I've only had BVI pans so I don't know about the others. I will hopefully have NEC D soon. My grain is at about 95% colonized so I'll be spawning them soon.

Pans are by far the top for visuals imo. If I had taken them without knowing what it was the first time I would’ve guessed some kind of lsd analogue or something. Different from lsd but also different from any other shroom I’ve had.
Then mentally/spiritually nats. I’m glad that’s turned out to be a common experience.

Where do semps fall then? All ive had is cubes and would love something more visual. They've seemed to lack lately.
Maybe the cubes just want me to reflect more

Semps are wonderfully visual and on par with pans strength wise.

I would say semps are Natalensis feel with in-between cube and pan visuals. I've only had the fast semps, not the slow growing ones. Plus my culture sucked so I'm trying from spore again.
Have you tried ghost or yeti? They blew away any other cube for me. I have yet to try ODPE I grew out recently though.

Nope, those weren't around last time I was growing. Closest I've gotten was ape which always blew everything else out of the water

I've got the slow ones, although the last grow moved pretty quick without a noticeable drop in potency. Got some other genetics recently and spawned them to bulk today. Will be interesting to see the difference. It's hard to pick a fav between the slow semps and the pans I've tried. The pans were incredibly fast though.

19 days after spawning. Does it look like it might pin, or just overlay?

Photo was taken after a light misting. I've been misting every other day to keep some drops. Guess I'll leave the surface alone now.

It looks overlayed to me. I would say Natal mushrooms require more fresh air exchange than cubensis. I don't see any ventilation holes in your monotub at all. A couple of small holes don't make a significant difference. If I were you, I would make three or four holes, each about 3 cm in diameter, on both sides slightly above the substrate level. Additionally, I would make three holes on the top of the monotub, just below the lid. Cover the holes with a breathable plaster. I would also re-case them and wait for pins and mushrooms to grow. A temperature of about 22-23°C is acceptable. If there's a better solution to this situation, correct me.

Fuck all that noise, just flip the lid or if it has clasps, set the lid on top of closed clasps. Let it dry out and youll see pins

It's the Pasty EZ dialed monotub design. There are holes in the pic. The lid is also vented. I'm going to unclip and flip the lid.

Spawning my first nat culture to 100% coir today. While doing transfers for a clean culture, I discovered my first nat plate pin. Transferred plate pin to agar. Such a cute little shroom.

Well it's been almost three weeks since spawn and I'm going out of town for a week but.. pins!

Excited to see how it looks when I get back next Thursday.
@Tiamo
mine looked like that and now it's pinning. I say let it ride if the surface looks good.

NattyOrNice said: Hey my AIO bag is puffed out/Inflated, nats need lots of FAE, should I poke a tiny hole in it?
Is it colonized enough??
Or should I wait till the whole surface is white??
There is lots of little growths of mycelium everywhere.
As you can see, lots of moisture in the bag, if I press the bag on the bottom water comes up, like the substrate is soaked.
Too much??
I wanna leave it alone, but I don't want something funky to happen, it's no like it's in a tub.
How much moisture is too much??
I'm assuming the whole bag doesn't need to be a solid white brick before I open it up right?
Could it be pinning already?
Some of the white spots on top look like they are growing upwards either into a blob, or better.
Thanks for reading and looking!
Please forgive the crappy pictures!!
