Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Kinda like how pan myc varies from a faint whisp to a thick cloud. You'll get some good fruits from that jar.

Yeah I agree it looks fine.
The unusual thing nats do is if you leave that jar a few days it’ll start throwing rhizo fans against the glass most of the time.

Appreciate the optimism. I sure hope so. Ive been trying to grow nats off and on for a year but have never gotten anything but overlay. This is the first go since getting new genetics from a generous member on here.

What are your thoughts on pans vs nats?
Nats are nats. Pans are super strong and way, way more visual then nats. Sometimes pans get a little overwhelming and nats just are always chill. At least in me experience. Nats are heavy fruiters and just keep going flush after flush. I think nats are easier to grow but with practice any variety becomes easy. Pans fruit quickly. Probably the fastest species I've grown. I usually get a few flushes and wind up with just under 1oz dry. But at 1-2g dry for super good trips, the low grow yield doesn't matter, plus you will be able to fruit them faster then you can use them. The best thing about pans is the low amount needed to go explore the furthest galaxy you couldn't even imagine. They are not for commercial growers. The poo substrate also turns a lot of people away from pans. I found that I trim quite a bit off my pans but also found that a casing helps them grow above the poo so less needs to be trimmed. Natalensis has a quality you just don't get with others. I can only describe the feeling of nats as being a young child again and everything in life is going perfectly. Everything is fun and amazing while I'm on nats, maybe it's the mindset I get before I consume them knowing how well they've treated me in the past. I guess, after rereading what I've wrote, they both are worth every minute you put into them and both have a place in my heart. Hopefully I answered your question and didn't ramble too much.

I agree both pans and nats are amazing. Pans get a little too intense for me at larger doses though. It's hard to beat that natalensis bliss too. I think everyone should have a big bag of both, just so you have your bases covered.

What about pans vs cubes? I am excited to get nats and definitely want to have them in my supply, but it also seems like having a deeper/more intense strain is worthwhile. Any reason I should use pans for that instead of cubes?

Can't speak for Pans but I much prefer Nats to Cubes. Both for their potency and the very spiritual/emotional trips. I have heard Pans are much more visual than either Nats or Cubes.

That’s excellent to hear, didn’t realize that nats were so spiritual/emotional, I actually thought that was supposed to be lacking. Cannot wait to try them.

First time I tried Nats I cried for 3 hours. It was the best emotional release I had in years. Other trips just as happy as can be.

Trying to get up the nerve to eat 2g of my semps to try them. Don't have a trip sitter though so been hesitant. I'm told they are even better but can't say yet.

They are definitely a lot more work than cubes. But I must say, this noob was the talk of the Semp thread with the 2 tubs in my sig.
I think they like me. Perhaps it's because I'm old and they know it won't be too much longer until they get to eat me.
After all the Nats told me that's why they like to make us feel so good. They know it's their turn soon.

Haha good stuff. Yeah, those are two beautiful tubs my friend. I’ll have to look into growing semps, my first grow of cubes really proved to me that they’re not hard, and that I’m going to run out of projects fast because I only trip at best once a month or so now and I don’t need a crazy stockpile. But if semps are bigger and I can dig into them…
But man am I excited to have my first harvest of nats in a month or so. Sound just amazing.

I hear ya. I'm 62 and trip maybe 2x a month at max but more like once a month to 6 weeks. I got 6.1 oz of semps from my first flush. An Oz per shoebox on average. Plus sitting on at least that much of nats and cubes. I have another 6 shoeboxes of semps going and the first 6 are flushing again.
Also why I don't grow in anything bigger than shoeboxes.
