Just start my first two tubs of P.Nats - anticipating a decent first grow as I was quite impressed with the myc growth on my petri plates.

If all goes well I think I may ditch cubensis and stick with P.Nats and panaeolus varieties.

I'd probably wait a day on those. They don't drop alot of spore on the first flush generally.

Edit. Definitely do a giveaway. They started with me and I've only sent out a handful of prints. They're quite strong.:mushroom2:

Black cap as well? I'm guessing mixed genetics in one cap because it's ms

Those look like spores.
Nvm I see what you’re talking about
I think it’s just a potency thing

Welcome to the shroomery!
Naming vendors, whether sponsors or not is against the rules. Please remove them from your post.
Natalensis is a very beginner friendly species to grow and consume. I can't say if the 2 vendor genetics are different from each other. As far as I know there is only 1 variety of Natalensis. Honestly I would hold off and see how what you have turns out. Then you can make clones of all the different phenos.
Don't be shy with the address when you get access to the marketplace, we are all here for the same reasons.

I'm really tempted to get it!

Although eden's description is totally wrong (calling them both "Blue Meanies" and "Natal Super Strain") their spores are actually Nats. I can vouch for this as I got mine from them.

Natal super strain is actually a variety of cubes from same region and has been called blue meanies, but true blue meanies are Pan Cyan. They are using very deceptive advertising but the spores were good.

Can't vouch for sporeworks. I would get prints from someone here rather than paying any vendor though.

Okay thanks robot!!

I'll hold off on buying anything,
And yeah vendors are expensive marketplace sounds waaayyyyy. Better.

$38 shipped is crazy, that's a PC right there!

I would also stick with Nats, at least till you get good with agar and making clean spawn. Semps and Pans much more difficult. Nats very beginner friendly and great trip. Also Semps and Pans will benefit from a tent whereas Nats do great in tubs.

Pans are easy in monos as well. I've been successfully growing pans in tubs for a while. Follow Baba's advice here if you want to make it easy.

What are your thoughts on pans vs nats?

Ditto on the Semps. See Melgo’s Write-up. As long as you can make clean spawn they’ll do just fine with the treatment you’d give cubes. The hard part is waiting for them to finish

What do yous think about this jar?

For some reason I dont like the looks of it. Theres absolutely no condensation though. Was inoculated 13 days ago with a small wedge from this plate. Going to let it sit for another few days before s2b.

Hmm. Im used to penis envy and pan myc. Maybe the fact that its nats is throwing me off. I thought I remembered them looking identical on grain.
