Tub number 1 dropped spores overnight - not sure whether to clear the lot for second flush, or leave the ones over on the right for another day or two?
It was well mixed and distributed evenly; the only difference I can identify is that the side that's dropping spores was closer to the light.
I think number 2 looks likely to be ready in 1 or 2 days. (The 'black hole' was an early fruit taken for printing)
I've no idea why number 3's so slow, but at least there's no overlay! Tub 1:

Thank you, although Moopers deserves the credit.
I decided to harvest everything from tub 1. The dehydrator's nearly full and the tub's getting a brief soak. Sub in each is 3", so I'm hopeful of another decent flush or two before they're consigned to my disposal patch in the garden.
Edit: As there's a tray left in the dehydrator I'm tempted to take the most advanced ones from tub 2 as well.

How long does it usually take for a spore print to happen? Had a cap fully open flat for 3 days and it was looking dark inside some of the gills. Had the cap on foil for over 24 hours and still nothing. If I still have nothing after 48 hours I'll just try a swab next.
I had a bad flush for my first try, 3 fruits on one shoebox 2 are still slowly growing but tiny compared to the first one. My other tub zero fruits and that blob overlay stuff is slowly getting worse and worse. Been in fruiting about 3 weeks now. But anyways I cloned the nice looking fruit and like I said I'll try to swab if I don't get any spores to drop.
Heres the fruit I cloned and trying to print. About a week before I picked it.

Nats can be open for quite a while before they drop. I usually wait till some have dropped spores in the tub before trying to pick any for printing.

Wait until the cap is already dropping spores. Then harvest and leave on the foil from 4-24h depending on how dark you want the print. If you donโt see printing in 4h, then that cap definitely was not sporulating yet.

I wanted to pick it before it unloaded spores all over the place, lesson learned. I saw some dark areas thinking it was spores but might have been bruising. I've never seen a mushroom turn so blue... basically black it was so dark after a few seconds. When I tried to swab the cap today the gills turned blue then to black. The swab was getting the blue n black on it idk if there were spores I doubt it. I'll be trying again in the future with the clone tissues I got and if bluing is an indication of potency I can't wait to get a proper flush to try em. The mycelium itself turned a nice blue from where I plucked the mushroom on the substrate. I've never seen that before.
Thanks for all the feedback guys.

How cold is 'cold' when fruiting nats? Several posts refer to colder cultivation, but I would like to know the lower end of the temperature range for fruiting. I've run out of room in the house and I'm considering a shelf in the garage. I can run a IR bulb to warm up it up a little. I'm checking the temperature in the garage tomorrow morning when it's coldest. Thanks for your help.

Great question! Iโve fruited cubes at 7ยฐC, but havenโt tested this with Nats yet. It freezes in the region they come from, so I bet theyโre cold hardy as well. I hope someone else knows the answer.

That may just be due to temperature, but those are looking great!๐
