I’m sure they appreciate that at the dump!

Time is never an issue for me. I actually try to slow my grows down. However, I still try to get everything out of 1 flush. It was easy with cubes, but I haven’t figured it out with nats. Even so, I still end up throwing most of my shrooms in the compost because I have nothing to do with them.🤷

Preach all you want, but some of us don't have the outdoor property to compost on.
If you really want to make an impact, find an alternative solution that is more environmentally friendly for those of us that can't compost.

I compost because it turns into great soil, but a lot if us don’t really give a shit about the environment.😜

A worm bin breaks down organic matter just as well and fits in the same footprint as a monotub

I wish I had outdoor space and could compost. I lug around garbage bags of spent substrate and dump them in an underground container meant for green waste. I have to walk 5 minutes to the container. It gets processed into green gas.

Do you not have green space nearby where you can dump organic waste? No community garden or dog park or recycling center?
Life does tend to fuck us out of the time and effort required to care about that kind of stuff but maybe there's some solution that's easy enough

I've made several. I always found the parents to be better than the crosses.

Thank you. It even looks like I can just use coir and verm as the bedding. Is that right?
I could get a compost collection bin from the recycling company, but they're going to be collecting and finding shrooms perhaps. That would also cost something, though I'm not sure what the charge is.
And as for infinite sub tek, I do plan to get there, but first I need a FH that isn't damaged, and some bags, and an impulse sealer. I tried it with 3 pint jars, and they're colonizing well. That was only a shoebox worth of sub at 1:1.5. Yeah, I need bags.

The tub I just harvested actually has trick in it. Small isolated patches of green around the sides. It’s a tosser, right? Or do mats really not let it spread further?

I quarantine those away from my other tubs and let them keep going. Nats don’t give a fuck.

You can also toss your used sub by the sides of the road. If you are worried about people noticing it on your property whether you own or not, you can let it do its old thing by the side of the road. so much trash I notice by the road.
