Way before spores on this one. That cap kept getting more blue till it was picked.

You mean like this?

The cap was orange when it was smaller, just like the little guys next to it.

Just inoculated some wheat with natalensis agar. Super clean t1. Iβm reading through as much of this thread as I have time for, but it sounds like regular field capacity substrate. If you get overlay, donβt fork, or pick off- let it go. Iβm have about 12 transfers from germination plates to work with. Thanks!

You don't worry about the veil with nats, they'll grow substantially after veil break. Harvest when they start to sporulate.

Edit. Since I last posted here asking about increasing FAE. I have flipped the lid and put little spacers to lift it up some. Seems to be working fine. Surface conditions still look good as far as I can tell.

Harvested my first flush from the tub yesterday. Ended up with 7-800 g wet. Side pins were growing strong on this tub even with the use of a liner. They were a pain to harvest and really tore up the edges of the cake.

Compress the edges, I don't use liners.

Will do on future tubs. I'm suprised how fast these grow. The difference between these pictures is just 36 hours Sunday morning to Monday evening.
Edit : I used a LC from a company that's not a site sponsor vendor. I was a bit worried reading through this thread about over lay taking over my tub. Luckily this culture did not. Shoot me a PM if anyone is interested in the vendor cause I believe it's against the rules to post them

Nice work chumbum.
Interesting occurrence with my Nats in the last few months to a year, the 2nd flush has totally different looking mushrooms that are essentially sterile.
After they're done it returns to normal and sporgasms with big Natalensis.
I'm isolating further, they're heavier, thicker and no spore drop and they just pop off the substrate.

Those gills look pretty jacked up. I assume there's a connection to the lack of spores dropping.

Thanks I appreciate it. This is my first time growing something other than cubes. Given Nats speed of colinization, contam fighting ability, and potency as I've heard. I will probably always have Nats in the works. Overall Nats have been a great experience, haven't been able to take a trip on them yet though, but looking forward to it. My next venture outside of cubes is going to be Pan Cyans. Which I'm a bit weary of due to them being a bit different than cubes or Nats. Been doing my research on the here for the best outcome.

Any advice to help my marshmallow block start fruiting? I got one flush out of it before I took the bag off the bottom and flipped the whole block over and now it's just over lay for like 2 weeks

2 qt spawn : 10 qt substrate

2 qt spawn to 8 qt substrate

Difference is more in the age than the amount of substrate, if the higher ratio tubs fill in that is.
Has this proven anything? No
Thank you for your time this has been my TED talk.
