I don't see the problem here.

That's fine, and I'm not going to answer questions like this.
I gave my reasons.

He called me out and asked what my problem is, I responded.
I'm not here to help you grow mushrooms as fast as possible before you go on holiday.

The mere fact that I even need to explain this now is an issue.

It's the same as asking how much coir to produce a kg of mush.
The answer is opened ended and experienced based.

Sorry not sorry.

There was nothing malicious or remotely dick worthy about my statements, choose to take offense if you wish.

Ask specific questions about Natalensis, not how fast can I get flushes before I go on holiday.

Oh lord, that was not even remotely being a dick.
Have you seen how people are responded to asking how fast to grow mushrooms?

Either way, my statements stand.

Maybe he got some trich
Leave him alone, he is not worth it. In a drug forum asking for how long to wait until harvest magic mushrooms.. ohh yes that’s really suspicious hahahahaha

And yes it WAS a specific question of NATS. I wanted to know how long in average between full colonization of substrate and harvest.. the information that I want to go in vacation was not the most important point for you. I just can’t fill the humidifier and have nobody who can take care of my tent and I don’t want to grow these for my vacation. It’s just the fact that after 48 hours the humidifier will be empty and if some contams grow, nobody can toss them. Don’t start thinking too difficult. Chill man

I said nothing about suspicion.

Maybe I got trich?
Let me rather just stop responding now.

Just grow them in tubs like everyone else then you don't need to worry about the humidifier in your tent or if one gets the contam. Just set and forget.

Ok I will think about it. I just heard that they need way more FAE for nice fruitbodies than cubes. And I still have some space in my tent so I thought why not .
But ye maybe I will place them in some tubs before going to vacation. Appreciate your advice
Btw your tampas looking really tasty 😋
After vacation it will be my next project ( near zapocetorum and suptropicalis)
I love to try different species, I always make small quantities of bulks but prefer different species or strains  growing and comparing. Have a nice Sunday mate

I was able to harvest my first flush maybe two weeks after S2B.  It was pretty fast.  Several days later I was able to harvest a second flush.

Yes, they apparently will grow the way mine did (noodly) without FAE.  Doesn't bother me a bit -- I'm powdering mine and putting them in jars.  See my earlier post about my results growing nats.

Hi friends,

I'm running into some potential issues with my first nat grow and I'm hoping for some advice.

Issue: No fruiting ~35 days post s2b, about 1 inch of overlay that is somewhat patchy in the middle. No sign of contamination that I can see fortunately.

Conditions: MSS->Agar (3x)->LC->millet->s2b, 1:4 (millet spawn):(pasteurized coir/verm/gypsum) ratio, field capacity moisture on the slightly wet side, with a 1 inch (compacted) pasteurized coir/verm/gypsum pseudocasing layer, Pastywhyte's standard EZ dialed in monotub, filter tape removed after 10 days S2B (when overlay starting to come through on the edges of the top), lid flipped upside down, air flowing from an AC in the next room over, light on 12/off 12. The sides are always covered in drops, the top is pretty dry at this point, and the substrate is just starting to pull away from 3/4 sides of the monotub. I misted 3 x total during hot temperatures due to the higher evaporation rate causing the sides to dry up and have not fanned.

Would it make sense to case this tub, or to just wait it out? If casing, should I remove the overlay first?

Please let me know your thoughts.

-MycoM

Edit: added additional info on MSS to agar and amount of misting/fanning used.

Something looks a little off but it could just be how long it’s been sitting.

I would try misting it a little to keep the surface beaded up for like a week and if that doesn’t work I’d scrape the overlay off.

You never know what’s gonna work with these.

Thank you for the response, A.k.a.! I’ll give that a shot. Do you have any thoughts on casing after scraping?

Never tried it, but I usually get pins pretty quickly after scraping.

I'm super stoked to manage to get them to fruit, not the fullest canopy or biggest fruits, but the look healthy. The caps have been open for a day now and still no spore drop. Do I leave them to mature some more or should I harvest them now? Do I treat the cake as I would do with cubes and dunk and soak to encourage the second flush? Cheers guys

Congratulations on the fruits! I would let them go a while longer to see if they drop spores.

I'd read that they break veil early but sporulate much later, and that was my experience.  I let mine go for a few days after the veils broke on mine, and they kept growing.  I had only one sporulate that I could detect.
