ayy ladies and germs, i've finally tried some nats, how are they looking? this is 9 days in. I flipped through some pages in the thread and IMO they're looking perfect but would love another set of eyes on it. When do they usually pin?

Mine pinned in 9 days after I initiated fruiting conditions. They look good.

I think you're right actually, just went to his post history and he was running Yeti at the same point in time, perhaps a mixup. Have a diff set of Nat swabs that I'll try out. I think I might be equally if not more happy with that. Thanks guys!

not knowing what your humidity conditions are there, but you might consider removing the tape from the holes; those babies like all the FAE they can get to be dense and not noodle up looking good :P

Cheers man! π And yeah, unfortunately the only way to keep the gnats at bay, Iβd almost given up on them even pinning so I removed the tape from around the lid to get a closer look and that tub started pinning the next day, removed tape from around lids of the other tubs and theyβre all now pinning, literally debating at this moment as to whether I remove all tape and risk a gnat invasion or redrill all the holes to a larger diameter and retape. You reckon Nats need more fae than average? I mean, the evidence obviously suggests that but Iβd be interested in others observations.

First grow ever here, seems like I started out with a unique choice. They are growing at very different rates just wondering if anyone has advice when to cut the larger ones. Canβt really see if a veil is close to breaking

Nats often open before sporulating, I wait for the gills to darken a bit, or if they are sporeless, I wait for them to get a bit soft.
Flush number 6 no signs of mold. I would toss it to free up space for something more productive but it's putting out another mutant in the corner .

What about replacing the tape with something more coarse, but still too fine for the gnats to get through, like window screen material?

So far the tape hasnβt been an issue until the nats and Iβve redrilled most of the tubs to larger holes to compensate. All the gnats are coming in from outside which means theyβre either getting in as people go through exterior doors or getting through the fly screens unfortunately, they start off super tiny so wouldnβt surprise me.

Hey All, very healthy spawn, tons of rhizo and more tomatose than I've had with any other species or strain. However, now past two weeks (16 Days in fact) and no pinning yet. Is this common? Should I exercise more patience?
Thanks in advance

These things are definitely weird on so many levels but so cool as well, soft stipes are a little disconcerting but that silky sheen is amazing!
