Regardless of the thick overlay and way shorter than I desire, finally have my first Natalensis fruits. These were done from multispore on agar, transfer to rye grains, and 3 quarts of rye to 1 brick of coir, with 1/2" coir top layer, put in martha with probably way too much FAE.

Sugar free gummies I made from natalensis. I don't think I posted them here before and I want in on page 420 on 4/20. About 0.35g per gummy.

Are these stable at room temp or do they need to stay refrigerated?

These are not, but there are other sugar-free recipes online that are that I am thinking about trying if I keep making gummies.

I'm really interested in gummies. I just want them to not melt if I take them with me somewhere.

There are several recipes on here for gummies that I believe are more shelf stable. The reason I used my own recipe is that my wife is diabetic due to a hereditary pancreas condition and I wanted them to be sugar-free for her. I know Milkboy and ReverendMyc both have gummy recipes on here.

Milkboy just had a shelf stable update you can ask him about, dunno if it made it to the tek yet.
-------------------- If you've never grown mushrooms before, here's how you start. First, follow the Updated PF Tek, put 4 holes in jar lids not 1, and use a water tub! The next move is Shoebox Tek. After that you move onto grains, agar, monotubs. Agar is easy, just do it. Other useful links - Picture guide for how things should look and proper surface conditions guide Growing APE or PE? Adding small amounts of citric acid and potassium sorbate increase shelf life significantly. I have now tested gummies over a year old that held their potency. Or I could not detect any loss in a non-scientific bioassay. They had lost some of their elasticity and I have worked on improvements there, but only time will tell.

I'm diabetic too so that would be helpful for me. I also have a few friends and family that are diabetic that could benefit from the sugar free ones. And by shelf stable I mean do they melt at room temperature? I've had people make weed gummies that melt sitting on the table for an hour. The have to be stored in the fridge in a jar.

It is a bit of an art form to get them the right hardness so they are not too sticky and not too firm. But once you get there, they don't melt under 100f and higher. They can get sticky in high humidity and they will melt if you leave them in a car on a hot day like any gummy candy does. But I was handing them out at at a festival in the Sonoran desert in June without any issues.
And to stay on topic, hoping my next batch will be made with nats.
    Going to spawn these now.

So this is the recipe I used. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://thebigmansworld.com/keto-gummies/&ved=2ahUKEwiv9J2O4rv-AhUihIkEHVysAq4QrbMEKAB6BAgjEBQ&usg=AOvVaw0m3G644i8pRyfbEksR7_I- I put 2oz in 1 cup of liquid the first time, then the second time I did 2oz in 2/3 of a cup. The further condensed one was harder to work with. It says to refrigerate so I imagine it would melt at room temperature. If you search the internet for sugar-free gummy recipes more come up that I don't believe you have to refrigerate, but this one was really simple and I am lazy.

No problem friend. I am glad to help. You're the one who sent me natalensis to begin with. If I can find some time I might try to work with some other recipes and see what I can come up with.

My nats seem to have stalled out
Hope they rebound some, otherwise looks like I got a bad culture
