Very nice!
I'm waiting for this pinset which is developing extremely slowly. I have a good feeling they will develop nicely from here on out.

The latest pic from today up close and personal:

Is it looking good?

Looks decent Akipal. @A.K.A its MS. The surface still has some good openings after harvesting so Im hoping for a beefy 2nd flush.

We can only hope!! Unfortunately this is not from a clone so no idea what it's characteristics will be in fruiting. Just made the original plates with a piece of colonised rye (this is 2nd transfer) in order to bide time while waiting for my shoeboxes

Just threw a plate pin into a jar hoping for diverse enough genetics to not get blobbys, half pint master

Looks like my natalensis plates and my little half pint rye jars of natalensis are starting to take off! I took the heating mat out from under my incubator for fear of it drying out my grain. Outside temps have gone back up in my area (for now) so i should be fine without it. Now that most of my stuff has germinated im not as worried as everything seems to be growing fast enough for my liking.

I was excited it was described as its own species until they revealed they just bought spores from the same vendor I emailed lol.
It’s interesting how many medicinal things they found in there, even anti malaria compounds.
Super sciencey paper, not impressed by the use of the oven for drying
I was hoping they’d say the psilocybin content. I’m also curious what the mushrooms they grew looked like.

I must've missed the part about being it's own species? I'm in the Northwoods with hardly any service.

So what, distinct species? And some different compounds for cubes? My phone won't load that paper. Did they do any sequencing or just analyze the alkaloids?
Nevermind i got it to load. Doesnt really have any information we've been looking for sadly 😕 I wonder why Alan posted that before sequencing it, ya know? If he's at all hip to the boards he should know that one of us know if its distinct and those results from the paper could show in cubensis or any mushroom for that matter. And he should be hip to the fact that we've all already bioassayed them 😆
