I have 8 pf cakes of natalensis in a sgfc. The cakes looked great when I put them in, although they consolidated at different rates and didn't get in the tub at the same time. It's been a couple weeks in fruiting conditions, and no pins. I have been misting and fanning 3 or 4 times a day, I think everything is being done correctly. I am a noob, only 2 other pf tek grows under my belt. I had good luck on my first grow, only a small harvest on my second one though. I just wondered if anyone with more experience (especially with this species) can tell me how long it takes to pin? Is there another way to get them to fruit that would be more foolproof?

Lots of pins in first shoebox, second is getting there. Spawned about a week apart.

Nat print landed yesterday, got 2 sleeves of agar poured and I've just demolished that print onto 38 plates.

Here we go!

A.k.a said: I think those are definitely ready to harvest. Looks sporeless too.
Thatβs great for a first grow especially since natalensis can be tricky sometimes.
Thanks Aka! Yep they are Yoshi Amanos low spore Nats.
Ok awesome - harvest time. Overnight the oldest fruits were starting to turn darker and getting greenish.
These things were not twisting off, they were tightly clung to the sub so I cut them.

I was not prepared for how green these stain up. So cool!
I also have these tubs just behind

If they're spore less I'd let them grow to ruffle the caps but that's an aesthetic preference

My second cultivation here and my first ever Natalensis grow. Can you guys check if this looks right to you? On the agar it was a dense rhizomorphic growth, but on grains (millet, no prep tek) it's very wispy. I fear contamination, of course; perhaps a bad case of cobweb.
I've inoculated 2 different jars: one with Natalensis and one with PE. The PE agar mycelium was very wispy, so I'm also suspecting a mislabeling here.

I got 63g wet from this harvested tub. Took a clone on agar of the biggest fruit.
No mod shoebox, 1/2 quart spawn, 1:4 grain/sub ratio.
Does anyone have any pointers on what I can do to get better yields?
Things I know to work on are giving more fae and using clone rather than ms culture. But how else can I maximize my yields?
Just curious what I should be working towards.

I'll pour some more in the week.
Select from the good and leave the rest to pin.

Trip Report: Took 2.4g around 1pm, ground up on white bread with some jelly. No anxiety on come up, very easy going. Light visuals at first, turned into strong kaleidoscope and fractal visuals. Solid level 3 pushing into level 4. Still seeing some movement around 9pm, but everything really died down after the 6-7 hr mark. We laughed, we cried, we stared at ceilings. Overall, great trip. Loving this shroom.
