Natalensis definitely tends to have smaller caps. They also like to keep growing a while after they look mature.

I don't know why, but when looking at that picture, I imagine berry flavored shroom-icecream >.<
Edit QQ: Would you guys/girls also clean off the fluffy overlay while harvesting the first flush? Seems a bit like the only way to go. Considering they are growing straight out of the fluff^^

They actually taste pretty good, lots of artificial berry flavor, a little sour from the citric acid and a slight Earthy/molasses/soy sauce kinda character from the mush in the finish.
Lime is another strong flavor, the strawberry I made was too delicate.

Yes, you can harvest the overlay at the same time Shrimps, it is active too.

Had a thought that might be stupid, but here it is: If the mycelium is active, has anyone grown it specifically to eat? Like have a sub of only whole brown rice and grow the fruits and then eat the substrate after? Or something like that? Just for the mycelium?

I use grape, it's very tasty. Lime is also good.
Cherry is vomit inducing when mixed with mush water for some reason.

Wow, I just harvested my first flush. Damn I love have heavy and meaty they are. Nothing compared to cubes. Got a nice cluster, which I haven't harvested yet (going to make tomorrow some MEA and clone it then). Didn't have such a big yield, but worth it for the nice cluster Hope the clone will preform better then. Pictures follow tomorrow and ofc I have made some prints, which will hit the marketplace soon in a giveaway.

A bit jealous about everyone's result here...with the size of my fruits I've got about 5ish grams dried total for my first flush. I've got high hopes for the second one and with a few more tubs starting I'm feeling optimistic.

My tubs are all going now. These are Yoshi Amanos low spore Nats.

The tub in the last pics seems to be growing tiny fruits. Cute though. These are no mod shoeboxes.

Is it poor etiquette to ask if anyone has any Nat prints or swabs they could throw my way? My request might be better suited for the Marketplaceβ¦
Just starting out and quite interested to give these a go.
