I’ve tried growing Natalensis multiple times using multiple methods but the results are always the same, nothing but overlay. What should I do different? I’ve tried fanning ten times a day, I’ve tried not fanning at all, same results…

You need to go back to spore.

Thanks guys, I’m just gonna let it ride then.

Nah, this is grown out from a plate pin from a known nat swab I already had going. I just put that mystery culture to grain a few days ago. Starting to get really thick. Doesn’t look anything like the known nat myc I’ve got going (which has produced more than one distinct structure on agar), but I’ve seen how widely nat myc can vary and how it can do wild stuff sometimes. I’ll post a jar pic once there’s anything exciting to look at.

Yeah overlay will totally fruit and it is active too. I find the cultures that do not overlay pin on day 9-11, but heavily overlain cultures (for me) fruited more like day 30.

Yeah you should start over from spores for sure. I went through like 10 cultures at first using different sections from the plate, clones, whatever. Constant overlay, small flushes, took forever to pin, but amazing potency and trip.

Soon as I went back to spore I had a much better time.

Natal and Pans are similar in that way, myc selection seems to be a big part.

Yep, I've passed out a few times mid trip but I've also learned that if you move around during the sleepy phase you really get an energy boost after.
