It helps extract the alkaloids from the mushrooms, it also makes them hit faster and harder. Possible downside, it shortens the duration, typically about a 4 hour trip but long afterglow.
Citric, ascorbic and acetic all work, probably others too. Key limes, lemons, vinegar all should work from the kitchen.
Oh so if I'm doing acid tea tek vitamin c does nothing extra? I used to use vitamin c when on LSD to make it last longer and give me more energy but it could have been placebo effect.

If you are using vitamin C (ascorbic) as your acid source then yes. I don't believe vit C has a synergistic effect with LSD??? We used to drop our tabs into cups of OJ thinking the same thing, it certainly didn't hurt!

Well, I mentioned earlier in this thread I did some G2G for the first time with nats. I used 3/4 of a myco quart of colonized milo and got these:

The 2 on the far right have big clumps of grain that are stuck together. I shook all the jars tonight. When they colonize I’ll take them to grain. Even the 2 on the end. I’ll see just how resilient nats are.

No, I’m going to G2G the 2.25 quarts of master grain I still have. Should be able to get 48 more quarts from that.
Once I grow the 69 quarts, I should have some good candidates for clones.
I made 140 new Petri dishes last week getting ready for my nat pheno hunt project this winter.
I have no idea how to tame this wild creature, so I’m skeptical I can, but I look forward to trying.

Hey all - I recently got some NATS going from 2 different sources, both cultivated identically but I am getting 2 different phenotypes... one a kind of spaghetti and the other came up looking pretty similar to cubes. Going back a ways on this enormous thread I see that both types are common.
my main question is does anyone know off hand if the in your experience effects/potency vary between one or the other. despite the spindly look, I actually got a pretty decent yield off the spaghetti looking variety - I did sample a bit of the spaghetti ones and it did indeed feel a lot smoother and less tumultuous than cubes - any one have a preference or more insight?
what I'm calling the spaghetti type ...

what I'm calling the cube-ish type ...

I doubt I'm being genuinely objective, but my nats that express like irradiated sneks are always one of the two most potent things in my closet.. Given that either can give way to either from flush to flush, it's probably subjective though...

Haha - I like the term irradiated snakes more than "spaghetti type". Do you find them potent but also "different" than a typical cube feel?
I sampled the teensi-est amount of "snakes" and surprisingly - took a slightly sleepy, then very controlled, yet glowing ride.

Prevents the Psilo oxidation. Not that it's significant in a tea, I just like the peace of mind

Mini harvest. Pulled the more mature ones and left the rest to mature.
My other run with nats looked similar for the 1st flush and the 2nd was much more full

I was cleaning up and found a germ plate of nats from 7/31 that had a fresh plate pin… pretty hard to mess these up!
also good to know i can germ a plate and instead of transferring i can just wait for the pin and use that

Nerex said: So guys, I've read the first 6 pages and it was exciting. Can someone give me an input about it's potency (comprare to a "standard" Cubensis) and which difference people experience trip wise?
I drank 1g dried in lemon juice yesterday. They are quite strong. They hit me in about 20 minutes the majority of the effects lasted around 4 hours. I had very immersive open eye visuals, a lot of auditory distortion and time dialation/distortion, but not very much in the way of "trippyness" or introspective stuff. The body high/load was similar to cubensis for me.

Pretty interesting, I generally get everything from my first flush and a few stragglers after.

Just popping in for a last read on the forum before my first nat trip in 14.33 hours. Making tea with citric acid tomorrow with 105g fresh nats to share with the GF. Our first trip together, both of our first experience with nats, her first trip in 25 years. Assuming 90-92% water, I’m assuming I have 8.4g-10.5g dry equivalent for the 2 of us tomorrow. Seems like more than enough! I think 1g-2g for her, 2.5g-3g for me. Seems like we may have enough tea left over to freeze.
Do we just keep the unused tea in the fridge during the day tomorrow and put what we don’t use in the freezer if there’s enough to save when we’re done tomorrow?

Blue, sexe and weight have NO impact on dosage. Only age might.
