@labbar I'm not entirely sure what you are saying those pictures show, sorry if I'm just missing your point.  All I'm saying is that you have a strain that is lacking both of the things commonly agreed are different about nats: the overlay and the adnate gills.

Have a look at the gills in this post look, they are very different to yours.

ok, I don't want to explain everything all over again,I know what I grow and I have it perfectly documented with photos, and whether anyone believes it or I don't give a shit about it,honestly
What the fuck can I do if it doesn't look like P. Nat and the clon came from a bag where the classic version used to grow, can you explain it to me?

Hey dude, pax.

I'm not saying what you do or don't have, only that things look different, and that I didn't understand what you pictures meant.

I've reread your post and I think you are saying that the albinos popped as a second flush from a block with a first flush with more common nat features.  That in itself is interesting, I've never heard of a block going from 100% one distinct pheno to 100% another between flushes.  I'd be interested to more about the grow.

I sometimes wonder if you live near a nuclear power plant or something with the odd and unique stuff you post, but I also know that nats are new to cultivation and not yet very stable genetic wise.

I just think it's wild that they would stabilize that fast, and also look exactly like the JF you were growing a few months back.
Cross contamination does happen.  I'm pretty sure I had a small island of Melmak grow in a tub of Albino's this year- and to me the cross contam theory made sense.

Here are a few of your most recent Jack Frost grows:

And then you also have this curious quote that makes me wonder how you document things...

I like those long caps, mine appeared after 8 flushes,in total darkness, then I was wondering if I had mixed up something and if it wasn't Jack Frost, but it's good that I take photos sometimes, earlier the bag looked like this

Even AKA's fat boy's still show the adnate gill (zoom in on bottom right one)

Don't you think it's a little funny they're sharing the exact same phenotypes?
With zero stabilization needed on the nats?

Just strikes me as odd.  And it sounds like you have a habit of tossing things in the closet

What's that bet Guerilla wanted to make with the stones producer guy?  I kinda want to make that bet with you

lol.  found it!
Just replace "stones" with "JF phenotypes with zero stabilzation/selection needed"

I will skip the controversy, friends, if you don't mind.

I could use some help here--please, please please.

I've started two tubs of Nats, one on 9/4 and the other on 9/6. The only difference between the two is I used a much thicker pseudo casing on the 9/6 tub.

The 9/6 looks great to me, rhizo as it pushes through the casing.

The 9/4 tub looks wispy and relatively unhealthy. I wonder if the surface growth is mold.

(I really don't want to grow a tub of mold in this room! I'm happy to throw out tub 9/4 if I should.)

Also, the 9/4 tub seems to be a lot wetter than the 9/6 tub though they're consolidating in the same tub style, room, and conditions.

* * *

Here's a side by side comparison. Tub 9/6 on the left. Tub 9/4 on the right.

Surface of tub 9/6

Surface of tub 9/4

Please let me know what y'all think! Thank you!

I think nats are weird and both those tubs look ok to me. Trich myc would be denser looking and have spores by now, cobweb would be taller and whispier, and pin mold would be similar to cobweb and have spores by now...I haven't personally seen any other contaminant molds on bulk subs other than those really.

That's a fairly compelling argument from MJ...and another ball sucking bet in this thread to go with it, damn.

Yeah, I probably could have left the ball sucking part out, but...

I want those to be nats, but man do they look like the JF pics. Cool mushrooms either way.

I wanted the stones to be nats too, but it seems like they weren't. Didn't that guy send out some of that culture here, what happened with that?

Maybe nats are alien biomimicry experts and can shapeshift into forms of other nearby mushroom species. :notsureif:

Yeah I'm sorry but I'm not buying that's anything but a culture mixup.  Those look nothing like nats and everything like a TAT variant.  And then to find out you just happen to have been growing that variant not too long ago?

Sometimes you gotta just look at the evidence right in front of your eyes and ask what the most likely truth is.

It could definitely be possible that some JF spores floated into the tub and took a hold. Or that spawn was mixed, natal fruited first and then after it was harvested the JF had a turn. There’s some cool threads on spore “contamination”, where oysters take over a cube tub or cubes pop up in a pan grow.

Made an LI from a halfpint grain jar.  Used 20ml sterilewate. It looked like nice white mycelium water at first, but 30 minutes later..looks like shroomtea.. anyone tried to drink LI from natalensis mycelium and tripped?
