Thank you! Never though I would have trouble fitting fungi in the dryer... This came from 1,2L of spawn (0,6L each 5L shoebox) this species is freakin' productive. Took 5g wet this morning for a taste... and I think it's a love affair...

Yes they're amazing, I am a nat pusher.... everyone gets Nats if they show a bit of interest.
The amount of people I have managed to get out of depression from Nats is crazy.

I'm thinking I should do swabs instead of prints. Any suggestions on how to stop the print from peeling? I don't have this problem with any other print I have done.
something you can do is if you're using an san and not a ffu you can get a cookie cooling rack and set it above the foil. youll get a print that looks like someone decided to turn it into a game of tic tac toe but you won't have to worry about peeling off the print!
also thanks again!

Glad I could help. I'm going to try this along with leaving more of the stipe to lift it off the foil a bit. I get some good ones but it's like to have excellent ones for the giveaway.

Hi everyone!
I am new on this forum, but following this thread for quite a while now. I went through every single page, which gave me some idea about this variety and helped me understand their nature. Before i write anything else, i must say this: i am sure there is a lot of lurkers like me in this thread, who, even though not posting, learn A LOT from what you guys are doing here. If this thread wouldn't exist, i am pretty sure i would gave up growing Nats. I wouldn't even have any interest in them if there wasn't your reports. You guys are writing history. This thread will be helpful to many in the years to come. So THANK YOU.
I am 34 y.o. male and I suffer Complex PTSD's symptoms (depression, anxiety) due childhood abuse and neglect from both parents. Besides meditation, books like Tao of fully feeling and Complex PTSD from surviving to thriving (i highly recommend both if you feel you have any sort of childhood trauma) and professional therapy, i am also using magic mushrooms as part of my healing journey. I use this medicine for one and only purpose - healing. I am mostly microdosing and taking very low doses from time to time. The words can't describe how thankful i am for magic mushrooms. They play big part in this healing process which i started at age of 29.
Until few months ago, i only consumed p. Cubensis, which never, ever gave me such a steady/calm/clear (you guys describe it better) headspace as p. Natalensis. When i was gifted first and only Nat print, i wanted to know what this is. Since there is not a lot i could find about it on internet, this thread was gold mine. From first time trying Nats, i never got back to cubes again (but all respect to cubes too, they helped me a TON).
But unfortunately, i have some bad luck with growing Nats. I LOVE how resilient and aggressive myc is. I have no problems when working on agar or when transferring in bulk. But it saddens me how little i get out of them. I am not aiming at those crazy amounts you guys get (all respect!) since i am mostly microdosing and mini-dosing (0.5-1g) but 3-5g dry in total from shoebox size tub seem little to me. My agar plates are clean, spawn is also healthy. But when i put it to bulk and when they colonize, which also looks healthy, they simply produce very little shrooms. Some tubs don't even produce anything except tons of overlay - and i have tried everything you guys tried about that - spraying, bubble tek, fork tek, turning cake upside down in tub.. .
So far, i used: agar: LME, agar, nutritional yeast -> PC 25min spawn: Rye - 16h soak, simmer -> PC 2h Sub: Coco coir + verm, trying different ratios (spawn:sub 1:2 - 1:5) Pseudo casing (from 0,5 in to 2 in), no pseudo casing Room temperature is between 23 - 25 degrees Celsius RH in box is 90-95%
Pictures bellow are just few examples of agar transfers, spawn and bulk. I made over 30 agar plates and 10 tubs with more or less same results - everything is fine except fruiting.
Agar plates T3

Spawn

Colonizing bulk

And fruits

I will never forget when i read from someone: perfectly looking agar plates can be useless if they don't produce. And you can only find that out when putting to bulk.
I will also try using horse manure (in pellets form) since i saw some of you have good results. But again, i think problem in my case are genetics.
If anyone can PM me some trusted vendor based in EU i would really appreciate it. I think i have to start from ground zero - spore print.

Hay mate - glad you're here! As a CPTSD sufferer myself, I totally empathize.
For me, one of the big lessons with Nats has been to just spray down the overlay such that it won't be able to grow any further. Do that for a couple of days and you get a nice pinset. I'm sure others have different techniques but this works for me.

When you put say spray it down to you mean most it with puddles?

I’m healing from medical PTSD with the mushrooms. Micro dosing definitely helps. Tripping on full doses helps more, faster, and lasts longer. YMMV. Trust your own instincts.

Just spray it down enough to "mat down" the mycelium. You literally have to damage it to prevent it from growing further.
