If the mycelium is running clean after a week or two, I send them. I think most funk shows in a week or two. Isolation doesn't seem to make much of a difference in eventual fruiting, though my experience here is mostly reading from others. If your print came from someone getting tubs of fruits, you should be golden.
Good luck, these are fun to grow......and test!

IMO, If the myc is clean and moving, I send them. You can sort it out later with clones if you'd like.
Edit:all my stuff is MS from 2 different print sources.
So you think those might be worth sending to grain? If so, I'll probably do 1-2 test jars of each and do another transfer just incase 🤔
I only ran one side by side so doesn’t mean much, but I got extreme overlay with rhizo and a much more normal tub with tomentose. And actually all my tubs prior to that were rhizo and had horrible overlay.

Unrelated - I've had absolutely countless rhizo cultures that never overlayed.

Cool. Can't wait to see how these turn out. I used my last jar for some Jack Frost tonight, so I'll probably make some more jars tomorrow and do transfers & test jars the next day.. that should give any contams enough time to make themselves visible

I think Natalensis is like Subtropicalis where the OMC is moving stronger, faster, more reliable cultures forward. Plus substrate, spawn rates, lighting, etc are being better understood and shared.
May the Schwartz be with you Rotn!

My nat jars are looking fully colonized. They’re not as thick with mycelium as my FP+, but I think they’re done.
I’m planning to G2G 2 of them this week and s2b one. Saving one in the fridge. Any thoughts?

I am so excited I’ve gotten this far! Can’t wait to try these.

I think they're looking good but I don't really know what I'm looking for with Nat mycelium.. any comments? Any particular spot look like a strong transfer point? I plan on just following my instincts, but any help from the pros would be much appreciated
Ima like that one best. It just resembles myc I've had success with.

Completey dry sub with another bag laying on top, outside.

This Nat bag got green so I tossed it and to let them settle it. A few weeks later, Nats flushing and dropping spores all over the green and other funk.

Nats are insane... I've thrown a bunch of spent cakes in different locations in my garden. Watered them once a week. And for the last month, it's been so much fun to check on them and harvest them. I think I got close to a 100 grams dried of "outdoor" Nats now.
Not only this species is super contam resistant, it's also prolific outside!

What is the climate where you are? I cannot wait to start getting my nats going. I’m overdue for my next trip, but waiting for my nats to do it.

I live in the countryside next to the beach. So never too cold, never too hot - max was 32°C here this year, and that's unusual.
Oh and I forgot to mention that I put a thin (2-3 cm) layer of rabbit poop compost on my spent cakes when leaving them outside.

So I got my first nats jar to bulk yesterday. Jar looked great. Shoebox grow, 1:2 with dinosoil. 3 jars remain for g2g and s2b shortly.
1:1.5 mixed and then 1/2 quart pseudo casing. Lots of rhizo bits in that grain jar.
