Spawned a couple shoeboxes last night and give do a couple more tonight. 2 MS genetics and 2 clones, we'll see which wins the race, if either even run the damn race. These crazy things, they're so frustrating. I would possibly give up, but everybody that's tried them loves them. My wife won't let me anyway, they're the only ones my wife will eat, and she said this after she tried some pans. I just wish I could figure out how to replicate my left signature picture. It was my first shoebox of these and haven't gotten a decent pinset yet.

Really?? I guess I need to eat some of these.
Is the trip any different from cubes for you guys?
I just dropped some pin clone myc the other day but there’s a mold colony on the plate so idk if it’ll work out. That and it’s my first run with unmodded one piece plastic lids.

My wife experiences no stomach upset, no body load, she hates that the worst. I've got a couple friends that I use as testers, and they love em and ask for them again.

All my friends love them too. I think the trip is a lot like APE.
I'm wondering if the culture just turns to shit after a few expansions. I'm having a hard time repeating my early grows too Crack. All the subs I have going right now are going in the garden.
My next 10 quarts that don't look that great I think I'm going to just throw in a tub with some no prep black kow and see what happens so I don't waste any coir. Still have 10 qts of MS that look great.

It might do fabulous on BK. If I had any left I'd 50/50 with coir and try it. I'm running all mine in shoeboxes. If my clone comes out well, I'll go to a bootbox. Sadly, most of mine do start getting trich. Wonder if you gotta have contamination for a pinning trigger.

Well there’s definitely something going on, there’s no way this is cube.
I spawned my two shoeboxes on the 23rd and one has like three tiny pins on the bottom. I just put the over layed one with nothing happening in the fridge.
Too late to alter the sub so maybe temperatures will do something. It’s apparently too warm in my room to fruit king oyster so maybe it’ll help.

I still keep meaning to try them in my Martha, just not as wet as pans. It may work, who knows. Can't wait to find out what the hell they are though.

Good luck Cam.
Well I haven't done so well lately doing everything right so let's see what happens when I do everything wrong. I just spawned a mono and 2 sweater boxes outside to unprepped BK in 90F heat with my sweat dripping into the tubs with sketchy spawn.

Maybe dropping the temperature will actually help.
It could be a coincidence but it seems to be getting more and more difficult for everybody to fruit these as we get deeper into summer.
Idk if you guys have your grow rooms totally locked in but mines much warmer even with the ac going.

Man these look wild! Would yall say the trip is similar in dosage to cubes? I've been yearning for something new to play with.

My heres my first attempt at running these in a tub of straw (uncovered outdoors)... Kinda messed up and forgot about it so the surface on it had completly dried up & when I looked again it had these side pins coming on the sides. Carefully tipped out block Let the fruits mature and have popped it back into tub and will hopefully do a better job at maintaining good surface conditions for second flush

Damn those are nice and thick. Idk what your indoor ones normally look like but seems like most are really long with small caps, those outdoor ones are total opposite.
