This is a new one - haven't seen gills running down the stipe like this on any active species/variety before.

If I can recycle enough of my no-pours quick enough and can go with 2 clones, I'll definitely take a spaghetti one and probably a real fat stem one if I get one that matures that way

Thatโs one of the main things that made me think it wasnโt a cube way back. Definitely different looking.

Hah thanks guys. I cloned it and am printing now in order to see if it has to do with conditions or genetics. Would be cool to get a whole tub of those.

I observed the same with FAE; they got bigger once they get more air.

I have a habit of letting cultures sit in dishes too long (no really, like monthS). Sometimes I do it on purpose to see if an interesting plate clone pops up. I definitely meant to use this (and two others like it) to put on grain but Iโve been waiting tooo long!
But here we areโฆ good old crazy Nat!
This is a clone culture - a clone off another plate that I let sit a long time. It sprouted a few pins and they grew and one was pretty blue!
So I cloned the blue plate pin and at it grew out very rhizomorphicโฆ then it hit the edges and just started growing up from all areas and pretty much filled the whole volume of the Petri dish. It was looking sketchy โฆ but all this is โnormal weirdโ for Nats. So I opened her up and dug down to the plate surface to get a bit to transfer, then I hacked a few chunks Out and dropped them into a pint of grain. Lets see what happens โฆ
Some pictures:

The culture tried to force its way out in two places - pushed out through the venting gap and then spread under the parafilm.

The aftermath:

Im still on the fence, I've grown so many nat tubs now from the same culture it may be my bias kicking in but I don't get a difference regardless.

Yeah thereโs so many variables. Could be the culture responds to air, could be the people seeing a difference had lower fae to start with.
I just recently cut fae way back on all my tubs and they still grow fine so it mustโve been way beyond the minimum levels to start with.

So I've tried Nats for the first time today. I ate the entire harvest from my first attempt (0.4g) and it was about as potent as Cubes. The high felt more stable though, and a bit more loving. I need to test a full dose to know for sure. Attempt no. 2 is colonizing now.

Did you notice a orange glow? Ive noticed there seems to be a prevailing orange glow, similar to azure which were more of a red glow to me.

There was no glow. It was during the day and not enough of a dose for visual changes.

I've noticed mine looks better the more FAE they get. Got those ones by cloning the biggest ones out a few times.
