Just put some nat spores to agar.  Looking forward to seeing what the trip is like.  Last night I read every post in this thread with the word "trip" in it and that gave me some insight into what to expect.  Can anybody confirm that the trip on these is 8-9 hours and that it has a sedative effect?  If it's sedative, how sedative is it?  Like "I'm just going to lay on the couch for 8 hours" sedative, not a lot of energy to run around exploring, indica stoned-ish, or what?

In my experience they’re not floor your ass sedative but not go on a hike type of high. Like if you wanna go on a walk then expect to sit down every so often.

Ditto with what Wall.E said, I've tried hiking on the beach on Nats a couple times but periodically felt the urge to just sit or lay down and close my eyes to think about stuff. I had doses of 2.5g and 3.5g, with the larger one feeling pretty strong.
I don't think any of my trips lasted over 8 hours tho, probably closer to 6 or 7h.

I’ve had some long ass trips on nats, but when I say “trip” I mean noticeable effects. Not debilitating or anything, just a fun high that lets me operate in public like a normal person, not crying in the corner of a bathroom

Thanks guys, that gives me a better idea of what to expect.  Looking forward to having fruits in a month or so!

Oh right  I dry the mush then rub it off by hand.
I do make an effort to twist the mush off to remove as little sub as possible.

I've been having good results twisting, then rubbing the base of the shroom with a wadded up piece of toilet paper before drying. A wad of about 5 pieces of TP can do a shoebox.

Ok as long as we are trading trade secrets for spore removal … if you are like me and space out and get a spore dump more often than you’d like to admit… head down to Home Depot or a well stocked hardware store. Hunt down the tile section, then locate grouting materials. Around there you will find a big soft sponge for whipping grout off tile. It is about 9”x 4.5 x 3 inches thick - light tan color.

You dampen one of those and it will probably last you for a whole tub… pick, clean butt, then either turn the shroom upside down and whipe the cap gently on the sponge, or pick the sponge up and gently press down with the sponge while supporting the cap by holding the stem underneath.

The soft sponge and slightly rough texture makes for very effective cleaning - the sponge pushes into wrinkles and books and crannies  and the texture pulls the spores right up.  Use the same few square inches for a while then move to a new clean part of the sponge 🧽

🤪

Yea but that overlay is clearly only in one spot. I just don't get it.

Those are the good ones adas

I spent quite a while testing variables and never really got much about overlay. Seems to be very random. But the tubs with only a few gnarly fruits were super potent.

I bet that pin ends up all curly and shredding itself.

The problem is, it's barely a pin anymore, it's closer to a mature mushroom. It's just fuckin pathetically smol.

I had that happen as well on my first runs. I think the myc over ran some mold or bacteria. The sub looked fine but by the time I was going for a second flush it smelled like sweaty balls after a 5 day camping trip.

Adas some of my trays were like that. One or two fruits. I got a handful more fruits on the second flush though but still not a ton. Just a ton of variation from one culture to the next. Just pick it and wait for more onto pop up which they surely will.

Thanks for advice. Maybe directly misting also doesn't help it?

For natalensis I e been prepping my sub over field capacity by a good bit. Misting the overlay directly makes it mushy and gross looking then it seems to mat up even thicker.

My best bottle came from that

All of that mass came from the top of 1 32oz bottle
