Yeah but like five times worse. I wish I could post pictures but I gotta sort all that out now cuz I’m out of room and I’m gonna have to delete like a hundred pics.

Haha, same. I ended up just renewing my supporter account. I'd rather just pay than go through all that mess

Same here with clinging to the sub. I always cut these to avoid the collateral damage, even the small ones.
Not much to report here just a dozen or so fruits every few days not picture worthy. Got my 1st trich on a SB I had cling wrap on for 18 days. Once it pinned I pulled it off and noticed the trich on the bottom. Coincidence IDK.
Every tub I have going right now is bobbed out pretty bad.
Appreciate you running some trials Camera.

Hi all.
So this is my tub now, from spores I took from last natal super strength I grew. The tub mycelium is looking very thick. Have read about overlay but not sure if this is heading that way. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Ill be sure to take an upload pics this weekend. The strangest shit is happening.
I used 1 single quart spread out to different subs. Well, neither of my coir subs are colonizing, the sawdust and coir/SD isn't either.
the 70/30 coir/sand....notta
you can see the individual grains just not recovering since spawning, no fuzzing back up.
it wasn't just made coir I used, but I have never had a problem using coir that was prepped a couple weeks old
to top it, the 50/50 sand/coir (same coir mind you) is looking the best honestly. Getting some of that thick myc popping up but it seems to be running the sub pretty well.
The verm cased grain is starting to look the the tubs featured here with that thick blobby shit coming up.
not sure if its a bacteria overload or what, but if it was spawn related, I'd think I'd see the same thing in all the subs. If it was something funky with the coir, I'd expect all my coir subs to be shit, yet the 50/50 is chuggin
idk what to conclude with the straight sawdust, that could be a prep issue. just lippa teked some HWFP

I did that same tek and lost everything to mold, it was my first time though. Way harder to judge field capacity with sawdust.
So I peeled some blobs off yesterday and put them in the dehydrator. Grims old tub turned so blue when it was cut off I figured it might be active. Mine stayed bright white though even when dried so I tossed it. Shit is heavy, one little blob was like 12g of myc. It’s funny how it peels in layers and you can see the rhizo strands inside.
How have you guys been judging when they’re ready to harvest? Mine are all weird twisted shredded stipes and the caps start off looking mature.

IME only the heavy dence blobs turn blue the really fluffy stuff doesn't. I tried that ice water extraction on 35 grams of fresh blobs a while back but haven't tried dosing it. It's just sitting in my freezer for now. It blued up real nice I'll try to remember to take a pic.

Here are some overgrown clone plates. They look promising.

That second one is really long. Like 5-6 inches

Could this be any form of contamination at all or is it just mycelium?

It’s just the mycelium.
I’m pretty convinced this isn’t a normal cube, maybe some inbetween species.
Both my shoeboxes are at 17 days with no pins, the fluffy myc box looks like it had a couple knots though.
Surprisingly the fluffy myc culture is looking much better than the rhizo. The rhizo is overlaying like crazy while the fluffy one looks relatively normal.
My sweaterbox has zero surface pins still but lots of side pins.

So here’s how it looked two days ago when I was asking about blown out stipes.

Bottom right is my favorite.
The dried myc I decided not to eat cuz it stayed white

Although now that I look at it again it is kinda bruised, and even mushrooms don’t bruise much more than this stuff. Might have to redo this luckily I have no shortage of myc blob.

Definitely doesn’t look like cube myc at all on agar.

Harvested a bunch and flipped/broke my sub. There was this weird mass on a bottom corner that looks like a cluster that fused together.

My fluffy and rhizo shoeboxes, fluffy is on top with less overlay.

Still no sign of pins coming up on three weeks. Idk if I should soak them or something to try and trigger pinning. Maybe it’s a spawn ratio thing where they just sit there and eat. The myc is so thick on the liner that it pulls it down and then the myc fuses it to the surface. I finally had to just fold the liner back and down between the sub and the wall.

Hey A.K.A did you try the sand theory? I took a break for about 5 weeks but I'm gonna try and run this Nat out. I have a couple of plates that are ready.
